Mind Muscle Connection
Most guys are moving weight, not building muscle. There's a difference. At our age, the ego needs to stay out of the gym - because if you can't actually feel the muscle working, you're just going through the motions. I built more in my 50s than my 30s once I stopped chasing numbers and started feeling every rep. Next time you're doing a curl, I want you to genuinely ask yourself: did I feel my bicep do that, or did I just move the weight from A to B? What's one exercise where you've genuinely cracked the mind-muscle connection, and what did it take to get there? Where are you right now with this? I added a poll below so we can see where everyone is đź’Ş

Completely changed my life , Im actually enjoying my gym sessions now whereas previous was kind over just going through the motions every time i went. Friends and family are now telling me they can see a visual change in me. Ive got gym users coming up and asking for advice which ive never had before. Both physically and mentally this is the best ive felt in years. I finally think something has clicked and its ever since i started watching keith on you tube then reaching out to him on social media. 👊🏼

Im lucky because i work as a lifeguard at my local leisure centre so i can get either a gym session in or a swim either side of my work pattern. I usually hit the gym at least 4 times a week and then swimming 2 times a week.

Diet
My diet throughout the day is good i seem to do really well until the evening. Throughout the evening is my downfall i snack quiet a bit whether its boredom im a little unsure but once im home and relaxed im am up and down to the kitchen. ( Bit of a cookie monster) Any advice on ways to minimise this? Or any healthy snacks i can try instead.

A few other people have mentioned fasting to me. I'd probably have to try it on my days off work as i woukd definately need to eat as my job is quite physical.
