Hey everyone!! We are checking from Seattle this morning and getting ready to get a big pump in 👊🏻❤️‍🔥 This afternoon, we are recording with Bella Mohn, who woke up from a routine surgery in 2022, completely paralyzed from the neck down. From feeding tubes, to wheelchairs, Bella’s life completely changed forever, an Impossible challenge she never expected. Despite the daily challenges and the opinions of doctors, Bella has regained her ability to stand, and is working to walk again. Her journey is a true testament to The Impossible, if you have any questions for Bella you want in the Podcast today, please drop them below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Just wow! I think I would like to ask something along the lines of - has this made you see life in a totally different way that you may have missed, had it not happened? In more of an awakening way. Enjoying the simple things in life. I tended to miss what truly mattered until I had no choice but to stop.
When did we stop loving the Rain?? 🙏🏻
We talk in this Community all the time about the Stories we tell ourselves about every scenario we face in life. This clip from Marty’s podcast is a perfect example… His band was playing at his cousins funeral, and just as he got up to preach, it started downpouring. They could have done what most logical people would do and they could have went home, gone inside, even just waited it out. But they didn’t. They decided the rain made it better, that it was a sign of God’s love and mercy, that they LOVED the rain. 🙏🏻 And it all started with a simple decision…what Narrative were they going to hold in their hearts? ❤️‍🔥 What tools do you use to take control of your Narrative and change the story, even when it defies Logic? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ As Kids, we used to love nothing more than playing in the rain…when did that stop? 🙏🏻

I was talking about this yesterday on the way home with my son and his friends! We were talking about where we would like to live. I was shocked as my countries weren't Bahamas, Haiti or somewhere sunny. It was the fjords, Canada in the woods... places where the rain is present. I dont mind the rain so much... it is just when its constant, grey and continuous in daily life. British rain! Plus the added environment and surroundings. Tools o use to change the narrative are reflection- is it really that bad, gratitude - what do i have that matters, time - how long do I need to do it, prioritise - is there something else I can be doing to help while things settle, pause - just stop and do all the above. Then my favourite ACCEPTANCE- Can I change it?, if so how?, if not... let it go!

@Matthew Hill Actually using Gratitude that giving it lip service. When I was in the madness Gratitude for me was an excuse. I should be grateful for X, Y and Z. It worked against me. I couldn't understand what gratitude was. It wasn't about my kids, the job I had, the car I had, the roof over my head. Once I hit the darkest place I have been it made sense. Grateful for the simple things. So I use Gratitude now to literally slow down when I am rushing, comparing, feeling stuck, feeling stagnant. I pause and remember simply that I have everything I need right now. I am exactly where I am supposed to be. Also, using Gratitude from my rock bottom gave me a HUGE perspective of what having a little trust and patience can achieve. I am sure you understand from your own personal experience in life. And many more in here. Hope that makes sense and helps someone!

My time! Help! Kindness! Compassion! Understanding! Authenticity!
Sometimes the hardest skill to learn is separating facts from feelings.
Not because feelings are wrong… But because they can be very convincing narrators. Do you think emotional awareness is something people are taught enough, or do most of us learn it the hard way?

@Austin Douglas And thats exactly it isn't it? We all have our own experience of the good, the bad and the downright ugly. We can all learn from each other. Appreciate your comment dear!
