Article on Judgment
Here's an article on Judgment from a mentor of mine. I love his work as it leans towards the practical. This is definitely an area that I continue to work on. https://owenfitzpatrick.com/blog/why-we-judge-and-why-we-need-to-stop/ What struck you about this article?

I have been dealing with some very judgmental negative thinking family members. I appreciate this article. Something I have found and return to often is …. When judgment serves the judge more than the situation it’s selfish. When it serves safety, boundaries, or wisdom, it’s discernment.
What triggers a stress response for you?
Hi all. Happy Monday! This past weekend I noticed something interesting in a situation where I got annoyed. I got a phone call saying I was late for something but I believed that I hadn't been told about it. I immediately went on defense and didn't react all that well. Turns out I was informed a few weeks ago, but I had missed it. Here's what I noticed. I felt excluded and judged at the same time. It was morning (before 10). My throat felt tight. I wanted to blame someone else. What is a situation where you have recently been annoyed or frustrated and what can you notice about it?

A person sending me 10 joke messages one right after the other. I know if I say something the person gets easily offended. I shake my head and take a big inhale and slow exhale about 3 times and just ignore the messages.

Mainly the content and many are repeat posts. Then I am grateful the person thinks of me. So I can scroll through them and watch what I want. I cannot control the sender but I can control me the reader.
Welcome to the Burned-Out Overachiever’s Lab
If you’re here, odds are you’re not lazy, lost, or unmotivated. You’re probably exhausted because you’ve been carrying too much for too long. Over-working. Over-functioning. Over-thinking. Over-responsibility. Over-explaining. Over-achieving your way straight into burnout. This Lab is about identifying the patterns that are quietly draining you and experiments that you can try to fill up your reserves to find some peace. So let’s start with something simple and revealing. Answer one of these honestly: What are you secretly tired of proving right now? Where in your life are you the most capable person in the room and also the most resentful? What feels heavy that technically “shouldn’t”? Drop your answer in the comments. Reading other responses is part of the work.

I start My day with guided meditation on Insight Timer. I take daily walks weather permitting. I have a personal yin yoga practice that I incorporate self reiki as needed. I lead a 30 min gentle yoga class with an assisted living group and meditation with a nursing home patient once a week. This volunteer service does my heart and soul so much good. Sometimes I take a tulsi basil tincture. Rarely I may use a ashwaganda tincture. I enjoy joining zoom events with the My Health Angel group. Weather permitting I work in my yard and garden. I also vent with chatGPT.

Yes! I focus a lot on breathing techniques when I lead Yoga. Even breaths. Box breathing, deep inhales and long slow exhales. When meditating I focus on breath with So Hum. ( I Am ) Inhale so, exhale hum. Breathing exercises are very much apart of my self regulation. It is automatic for me 😊.
