Jake's clipper
Can someone tell me what clipper Jake likes to use? As I recall it had a great graphic showing the wave form and the level above which clipping occurred. Thanks

Clipper
Please reming as to what clipper Jake likes to use. It had a cool graphic that showed the wave form and the threshold above which clipping occurred in order to tame transients. Thanks.
Poll Question [PLEASE ANSWER]
Hey y'all! Been chatting with @Caleb Loveless about how to make the "Fix-The-Mix" Challenge even better and we need your opinion. Currently, "Fix-The-Mix" is completely free, but if you upgrade to VIP, you get lifetime access to THAT MONTH'S recordings. But this means you'd have to buy VIP every month to see our year's worth of recorded challenges. Which of these would you rather have. Or, if you have something else you'd prefer, drop it in the comments 👇 *** No promises here, just trying to get some feedback so we can make this better! I'd love to do everything for free... but keep in mind we do have families to feed lol.

Keep it simple. Trying to do dozens of tracks gets tedious as a student and we tend to go down the rabbit hole, as Caleb puts it. I'm thinking up to 12 tracks and then spend more time explaining the process.
Poll: What other "challenges" would you like us to do?

I am in week 3 of TRE Mastering course. Lots to learn but the computer stuff is driving me crazy. It was well worth the effort to get my files in order but when doing Sonic Works and then REW, there were big complexities and a very long learning curve. Maybe it's just me. I'm not totally computer illiterate but some of these downloads onto my Mac just don't seem to work. For eg., in REW I am suppose to enter the file for my Sonic Works microphone (it took me a long while to figure out this was done on the Sonic Works web site using the code on my mic) and while I was rejoicing finally getting this file, REW just would not see it so I am stuck. I'm just going to move on, otherwise I will spin my wheels and get no where. Anyone else have these issues? And if so did you just go on with the course?
Commercial presence of last webinar
I very much appreciate the free webinars that I have now done 7 times counting live and replay. Only the last webinar showed a significant bias towards commercialism with using paid plug-ins as examples, but I am ok with that since I had no tuition for this great information (and, by the way, I did purchase vocal rider, so there). Previous webinars were so much about using stock plug-ins which was greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Excellent. Thanks so much for this. Again, I had no problem with a commercial sponsor and to be fair, it was the only webinar out of 4 that went heavily into plug ins that were not stock. All is good.

I'm a retired family doctor who went into medicine because the Rock and Roll star gig did not work out for me. So now I record myself.
