SharePoint Guidance
Hey all! We are using SharePoint for our internal document management tool. We recently acquired an IAR and added a Jr. Advisor. Each of these people needs different permissions. We want to make sure we structure our SharePoint so we have a "common space" for shared resources, and then set permissions so our Junior is not privy to everything just yet. Basically, we are seeking a one-time project from someone who knows SharePoint well and can guide us on the proper way to add new members and permissions. What we have tried to date has not worked, and it seems like we are spending more time undoing those mistakes. Any recommendations?

@Erin Sabin I don't know if they do one-off projects but we use RIA Workspace to manage our Microsoft 365 licenses and our SharePoint structure. They have been great to work with.
Email Retention for Compliance
What company/product do you use for email retention (compliance purposes) for an RIA that uses Microsoft 365 for Emails?

We have been using Greenboard for our Compliance dashboard and email archiving. They have a good filtering system for emails and SMS messages that require compliance review. We have had a good experience with them. I like the all-in-one pricing relationship.
Client Document Upload Platforms
Hi everyone, Quick question: What platform does your office use for clients to upload documents? Examples include Dropbox, ShareFile, TransferNow, etc. If you use something else, please let us know. Thanks!

We like using SharePoint within our M365 subscription. GReminders has a nice integration with an AI agent that can search client SharePoint folders. That has been very helpful.
Single Sign On
Has anyone used a consulting firm that sets up single sign on that you would recommend?

@Nikki Whittle - we use RIA Workspace for our MSP and Cybersecurity. They set up our SSO using our Microsoft E5 platform. It has worked really well.
DocuSign Alternatives?
Has anyone successfully migrated away from DocuSign? Who are you using?

@Chris Gure We moved over to Adobe for our e-signatures two years ago. I don't like it was well as DocuSign, but we are only charged $25/mo/seat. For this we are able to edit and secure .pdf files and also utilize their e-signature tool. We have multiple templates and are able to send to multiple signers. Our custodian sends e-signature through DocuSign and then we send our RIA docs through Adobe so we just have to explain this to clients.

@Chris Gure That rate doesn't include MFA passcodes so we have to password protect each document and then pass that information along to the client for secure access. That makes it less convenient that DocuSign, but our volume is pretty low right now. You post caught my eye because I am always looking for a reason to migrate back to DocuSign but right now the price and volume doesn't justify for us. Sorry, that become a long answer to your short question - right now it is worth it for us.
