I Didn’t Pass the PMP—Seeking Guidance
Hi.. All I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to share an update on my PMP journey. I recently took the PMP exam, and unfortunately, I did not pass. My results were: Target, Below Target, and Below Target across the domains. To be honest, I’m still processing it. I truly gave the exam my best effort. One of the major challenges I faced was time management—I ran out of time and left about 30 questions unanswered, which definitely impacted my score. I also realized I was below target in the Processes and People domains, which shows me where I need to focus more. Looking back, I see that I relied mainly on free resources and YouTube videos. While helpful to some extent, they weren’t enough for the depth and style of the PMP exam. I didn’t use structured materials like TIA Simulator or PMI Study Hall, and I now understand how critical those resources could be for proper preparation. I’m sharing this not out of discouragement, but out of honesty—and in hopes of gaining your guidance. For those who have been through this or have deeper experience: Where should I begin again? How did you approach a retake? What study plan or materials made the biggest difference for you? I’m determined to come back stronger, and your support or advice would mean a lot. Thank you all for being part of this journey with me.

Looking for Guidance to Improve My PMP Process Domain
Hi everyone, I recently attempted the PMP exam and received the following results: - People: Above Target - Process: Needs Improvement - Business: Below Target I’m looking for advice on building a solid action plan, especially to strengthen the Process domain. If you’ve been in a similar situation or have a proven strategy, recommended resources, study sequence, or practice approach, I’d really appreciate your guidance. Thank you in advance.

Failed First Attempt
Hello everyone, I wanted to share my PMP journey to get some guidance. I took the exam for the first time in September but unfortunately didn’t pass. After that, I had to pause my preparation... I’ve now rebooked my exam for December 21st, and one of my main weaknesses during my first attempt was clearly the Process domain. What would you recommend as the most effective strategy for my second attempt? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My PMP Journey
Dear All, This is my first post on this platform! I passed my PMP exam last Saturday on my first try, achieving above-target scores in all three domains. I want to share my preparation and study journey so it can hopefully assist others preparing for the exam. Alert: It is a lengthy post! First, let's clarify one thing: The test is challenging, and timing during the exam and how much time you allocate to each question are crucial for your success. Another thing you need to be clear on is what motivates you to sit the exam and succeed. One of my motivations was to pass the exam before the 8th Edition of PMBOK became available! Now, let’s get into the details. · Success factors: 1. Study diligently. 2. Stay consistent with your studying. 3. Study the PMP mindset and incorporate it into your material. 4. Use various mock exams to become familiar with different styles. 5. Don't panic during the exam if you feel unsure about the answers. · Preparation: Let’s break it down – 1. I started with the AR 35-hour online course on Udemy to get my PDUs. I studied for 1.5 hours early in the morning and for another 1.5 to 2 hours after work every day for the past 2 months. During the weekends, I spent about 8 to 10 hours studying. 2. I created a study plan to sit the exam in early November, but like any other project, I faced some obstacles along the way and had to make adjustments and deviate from the original plan. The main challenge was daily work, as we were in the middle of a cutover, and the go-live was just about to happen. Additionally, I included more mock exams in my study schedule. 3. During this time, I also applied for the exam. To ensure my application would be accepted, I watched the AR YouTube video on using AI to apply. It worked really well, and I was able to submit the PMI application form quickly. 4. I studied the AR PMP exam prep book and read it twice, and then bought the AR exam simulator for the mock exams. I also used the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition, the PMBOK Guide 6th Edition, and the Agile Practice Guide.

Dear @Munish kumar Sharma , haha, no, I'm not a fan of carrot cake! I felt most of the questions were Agile-related and scenario-based. You are so focused on the questions that you get a feeling about your confidence level, but that can also be tricky. The exam was at the PMI Study Hall level, with some questions very similar to the ones I studied. I scored between 67 and 75 percent with the PMI Study Hall. The ultra-hard TIA mock exam was also helpful. I scored the TIA mock exams around 78 to 85%. The challenge is to sit the entire 4 hours; by the end, the brain is drained. Very similar was the 200 hard-question exam. The mini exams are good, just as a snack in between!
