@Nikea Nutall Thanks for sharing! Chicago + SUV is a good starting point. What’s your courier experience level—are you new to the industry or already running routes? Once I know that, I can point you toward contract opportunities that better fit your setup and experience.

@Laushella Tabb Welcome to the community, Laushella! You've already built a strong foundation. Your 5 years of Amazon logistics experience—from driver to operations manager—gives you a real advantage because you understand routing, compliance, team management, and operational efficiency. You're also making smart moves by forming your LLC, working on your branding, and earning your HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Chemotherapy certifications. Those credentials will strengthen your credibility when pursuing medical courier contracts. As you continue getting jobs, focus on building a track record of reliable, on-time service and documenting your performance. Consistency, professionalism, and strong relationships with healthcare facilities and brokers often lead to recurring contract opportunities. Wishing you continued success—I look forward to seeing your business grow and hearing when you land your first long-term contract!

@Kevin Capellan Welcome, Kevin! Great to have you in the community. Since you’re new to the courier industry, focus on learning the fundamentals, building strong business systems, and understanding how to secure consistent contracts. Stay active in the classes and ask questions along the way—there’s a lot to learn, but you’re in the right place. Wishing you success as you build your courier business! 🚑📦
Medical Couriers: Are You Ready for Government Contracts?
Many medical courier businesses have the vehicle, experience, insurance, and certifications—but still struggle to win larger contracts. One thing that can make a major difference is having a professional pitch deck that clearly presents your company, capabilities, compliance, service area, experience, and why your business is the right fit for the contract. A strong pitch deck can help you professionally communicate: ✅ Company & business overview ✅ Medical courier services ✅ Certifications & compliance ✅ Service area and capabilities ✅ Experience & past performance ✅ Pricing/service capacity ✅ Competitive advantages ✅ Government contracting readiness If you're serious about moving from individual jobs to larger medical courier contracts, your business needs to look as professional on paper as it does in operation. 💬 If you're currently preparing to pursue government or healthcare contracts, comment “CONTRACT” and I’ll share how a professional pitch deck can help position your business.

🚨 Medical Courier Scenario #1 🚨
Let’s see how you’d handle this real-world situation. 👇🏾 Scenario: You’re running your medical courier route and pick up a tote from the pharmacy. After checking the paperwork, you realize it’s supposed to go to a location that’s not on your route. Dispatch instructs you to return the tote to the hospital pharmacy. What would you do? • A) Locate the driver who’s responsible for that route and hand it off. • B) Return the tote to the pharmacy, just as instructed. • C) Call dispatch to clarify the situation before taking any action. 💬 Drop your answer in the comments and explain your reasoning. There isn’t always an obvious answer in this business, and thinking through these scenarios is how you become a better courier before you’re ever in the situation yourself. Let’s see what everyone thinks! 🚐📦

@Arturo Glaspie I agree contacting dispatch is the right first step. While the initial instruction was to return the tote to the pharmacy, it's always best to confirm before making any changes, especially if circumstances have changed. Medical couriers must maintain a clear chain of custody and follow documented instructions to protect patient safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and avoid delivery errors. Once dispatch confirms the next step, follow those instructions exactly and document the communication if required. In this industry, clear communication and proper protocol are just as important as making deliveries.
