My name is Darvin "Smoke" Phillips, Jr., founder of Irongate Driver Solutions, a virtual CDL driver recruiting business. I’m originally from Florida but currently based in Texas, where I work full-time as the Director of Human Resources & Safety Compliance for a construction and trucking company. By background, I’m also an Enrolled Agent. While I don’t currently represent clients before the IRS, that experience shaped how I think about compliance, documentation, systems, and risk management — all of which translate directly into recruiting, onboarding, and carrier relationships in this industry.
