Traffic plan next week?
Putting out any content next week? Going live? Doing some outreach? What are you going to do to get new members next week? I'm going to go live every day on Youtube next week. Got a podcast episode coming out Monday. Doing some networking in some different communities. Filming a long form YT video.

I am editing 4 videos for my community and have one guest speaker doing a video series that should be ready this week to add to my community as well. (Sister groups, gotta love a good collab.) Lots going on.
Are You Networking On Skool?
I'm not saying to do engagement farming or self-promo spam, because it's obvious when someone has the wrong intentions. I AM saying to start having real conversations. Jump into other communities' live calls, write well-thought-out replies, and be the kind of community member you wish you had. So many good things can come from just rubbing elbows with other Skoolers. Things like podcast guesting opportunities, getting to lead a call for another community, or collaborating on posts...all kinds of magical things can open up for you when you start having real conversations. I've been on this platform for over two years and have had countless talks with other community owners. And I realized working alongside successful people raises your chances of success exponentially. I'm not saying Skool should be your main traffic source, but you are leaving a lot on the table if you aren't out there talking to other Skoolers. (but for the love, don't do it with self promo in mind) Who has jumped in a live call for a community that isn't your own this week?

@Stew Holland Give him the pros and cons. Depends on if his current community is better served where it is. Skool is amazing, but not for everything. You got this. Just show him some of the great communities you follow and tell him you can help him move over.

@Stew Holland I'll DM you.
What Makes a Good About Page?
We are doing all this traffic and sending them to our about pages. In your opinion, what makes a good about page? Does it need a video? Emojis? No emojis? Promises?

I think it depends on your niche. I'm in the food game and am more about nurturing that selling courses. But I still am brief, have bullet points, and get the point across. I am going to add a picture of me to my cover though, maybe a video.
Identity Anchoring Is What Is Missing From Your Content
This is something I absolutely hated for a long time; I thought it was super cringy until I tried it myself and saw that it works. It’s Identity Anchoring. While recording a video, it’s basically saying something about yourself or your community that gives you authority or proof. It usually comes right after the hook. I’ve seen it used in shorts and longs. Once you notice this, you won’t be able to unsee it...sorry, lol. Here is an example from Evelyn Weiss. She said: (HOOK) "If you’re wondering what exactly Skool is and how it works, then you have found the right video." Then (Identity Anchor): "Hi there, my name is Evelyn Weiss. I run multiple Skool communities. My biggest one is doing $50,000 a month. I’m a big Skool affiliate. I’m also invested in Skool, and I also run the ads for Skool." This helps the person watching the video immediately trust her by providing proof. (It works even better if you can show, not tell.) So, take the extra five seconds to tell the audience who you are so they are more likely to connect with you...even if it is a little cringe. Also there are multiple different angles you can go with your identity anchor as well. I can give further examples if anyone is interested; just let me know!

I'm making a video for my community's About page this coming week. I was hesitant because I didn't think anyone wanted to see ME, just what I had to say. I was convinced by a friend to do one video for my community and it was such a hit I've been able to get over the fear. Now I have a ton of ideas for videos. Though making one for the about page about our community is top of the list.

I'm just trying to "SHARE FOOD LOVE". Pull up a chair to the kitchen island. Sample the cookies, feel the warmth, join in, have a coffee. Enjoy.
