CONTOUR SELECTION PROBLEM

@Mike Lawrie Hi Mike, I did select that option. I even tried to make sure that the geometry is closed by extending the lines so that they intersect. But still it's not working.

Sure, here is the file.
4-months work "clip dump"
Hi everyone, I'm writing this post as general announcement, in order to inform you that over the span of the next 36 hours I will be posting most of the work I did on Solidworks for the last academic semester, which is tied to a student-team competition I took part in, where we had to design and afterwards build a small chasis, a battery system for the chasis, as well as a chemically controlled stopping mechanism, through which the distance that the wheels of the chasis travel is determined. Anyone who's interested, feel free to check it out.

@Jesse Davis and i was just going to replicate the steps you did by going through the selection tree, didn't mean to edit anything.
Ice cube dispensing machine
Hi everyone! I've attached a file with this post and i intend to design a Ice-Cube Storage and Dispensing machine to secure my first paid internship😞 Can anyone help me with this project? I am not sure what mechanism to go for while designing this project.

Not much time for brainstorming sessions and trials I'm afraid as i am supposed to submit this model on Sunday (with SOLIDWORKS motion animations 😭; a thing which i didn't even knew exsisted in SOLIDWORKS). I feel like this is too complex for a student who's only into his first year of studies (and this is for an internship i might as well remind). Can someone help me out with this or i might just let this opportunity slide as apparently it's a bit too much for me (I'm still a beginner)

@Jesse Davis I've had a conversation with the lead engineer of the company and he said the mechanism must include bearings, and a gears based mechanism. I was thinking of a linear slottted plate controlled through a pneumatic system, but then adding a gear assembly in it won't make any sense
