The Archetype Quiz
I’ve just completed Meka’s creativity archetype quiz and honestly, it was such a beautiful experience 💜 When I think about creativity, I often think about art, drawing, painting, or making things. What I hadn't really appreciated is how deeply creativity connects to self-expression, movement, voice, storytelling, and how we experience the world. The questions themselves made me pause and reflect in ways I wasn't expecting. I got The Fearless Phoenix archetype, and so much of it resonated. One thing that particularly stood out was the mention of public speaking and podcasting. I've wanted to start a podcast for years, but I've never quite known where to begin. Equally, some of my favourite work has been running workshops and speaking with parent carers in person, so seeing those reflected back felt really validating. It also made me realise something quite sad. Creativity used to be a huge part of my life. But somewhere along the way, after my marriage ended and life became focused on raising children, work, and simply getting through the day, I stopped creating in that hands-on way. I still journal. I still write. But I haven't really given myself permission to explore creativity for creativity's sake in a very long time. So now I'm feeling really curious about the art journaling Meka talks about. Something about it feels like it could help me reconnect with that part of myself again. Maybe it will even help bring clarity to the ideas I have around podcasting, community building, and the impact I want to create in the world. So thank you, Meka, for creating such a thoughtful and beautifully designed quiz. If you haven't taken it yet, I'd really encourage you to give it a go. You might learn something new about your creativity. Or perhaps rediscover a part of yourself that's been waiting patiently to be remembered 💜

Not Everyone Starts the Same Way
Hey you, I created this little guide because I’ve noticed something: A lot of people think they don’t know how to start an art journal page… But sometimes the real issue is that they’re trying to create in a way that doesn’t fit them. Some people need color first. Some need words. Some need scraps, images, or found papers. Some need to just make a messy mark and let the page talk back. So I made this for you: Find Your Art Journaling Style A simple guide to help you start your page your way. Look through it and tell me: Which style feels most like you right now? 1. Intuitive / Emotional 2. Collage-Based 3. Writing + Art Hybrid 4. Junk Journaling No right answer. No perfect page. Just your way in. Click above👆 on Find Your Art Journaling Style to be taken to the guide page or, Go to the Classroom, click on Resource Library, then scroll down to Art Journaling - Find Your Style Guide.

Thank you for this
Happy Cinco de Mayo, y'all. 🌶️
Here's something nobody talks about on a day full of color and celebration: Color is actually one of the most powerful ways to get yourself creating again. Not because it looks pretty. Because color bypasses your thinking brain entirely. When I'm stuck — and honey, I get stuck too — I don't start with a prompt or a plan. I start by just reaching for a color that matches how I feel right now. Not the color I wish I felt. The color I actually feel. Today that might be a bright, bold, almost-too-much orange. Or it might be a quiet, tired kind of grey. Both are valid. Both are a starting point. That's what creativity really is — not making something beautiful, but making something honest. So in the spirit of Cinco de Mayo and all that glorious color energy in the air today: what color are you right now? Drop it below. No explanation needed...just the color. I'll go first: deep purple with gold edges. 💜✨
Happy Cinco de Mayo, y'all. 🌶️

Self-Care Sunday: What Do You Actually Need Right Now?
Hey Creatives 💛 I took the last couple days to just unplug and spend time with my family… no pressure, no trying to “figure things out”… just being present. And I realized something: Self-care doesn’t always look like what we think it should. Sometimes it’s not a routine. Sometimes it’s not quiet time. Sometimes it’s just giving yourself permission to pause. So today, I want to check in with you: 👉 What do you actually need right now? Not the “perfect” answer… the real one. If you’ve got a few minutes, try this: Grab your journal (or even your phone notes) and respond to this prompt: 🖊️ “What do I need more of right now?” No rules. No pressure. Just let it come out however it needs to. If you feel like sharing, drop a word, a thought, or even a picture below 👇🏽 Let’s take care of ourselves today… in a way that actually feels real. 💛

It's evening here in the UK. Usually now on a Sunday I would be doing my home admin for the week (meal plan, shopping list, budget and weekly plan). But my body is tired and I want to switch off. So I'm not doing it tonight. Part of me is screaming to do for future me. But future me is also aware tomorrow is a bank Holiday in the uk. So my week starts Tuesday. So I will do my weekly reset tomorrow instead and tonight I will switch off. So right now I need "downtime".

@Demeka Tigner thank you. I slept so much better. My little tinker didn't settle until 11pm. So my energy was needed elsewhere, but then making the choice to just go to bed and not push through was needed. I feel better today.
