Question from a composer/conductor perspective: Have you had a project where trust with a composer was built instantly, and another where it completely failed? What was the biggest difference in the dynamics of those instances? Was that gap caused by the composer being too rigid with their markings, and is that 'trust' something a conductor can actually learn to build as they work with more people through their career over time, or is it just a personality clash we have to brace ourselves for?
