Hi, I'm Dan. My three daughters and I do a lot of stop motion and want to start learning animation in Blender. To make cg animation more manageable for them (they are 5, 8, and 10) it is my hope to try to create different scripts for different animation sequences as an introduction to this new world. I am fairly new to Blender and python but actively take courses to learn both. Thank you for this opportunity to learn both in the same course. Your time and commitment to teaching is most appreciated. Thank you.
@Victor Stepanov Walk, run, different dance sequences, turn and jump sequences, etc. I want to get them more involved in the CG aspect of their movies. In the past they would create different scenes and rely on me to model a character in one of their scenes matching their medium (legos, paper, needle felted armatures) and then animate it on the computer. Many times it is a character that would be really difficult to animate. I hope to have predefined sequences for them to choose from to avoid much of the tedium of cg animation and then allow them to layer their own animation on top. Basically it would serve as an introduction to cg animation and allow them to go further with their movie making endeavors. In the below video, their Easter movie, we did our best to animate the deer using paper, but in the end wound up having too much trouble and I animated it using Houdini. Thanks again for the courses.
