Our Newest Mentor! Gemi Moon :)
I'd love to give a special shout-out to our newest membership mentor, Gemi Moon. Gemi recently passed certification in The Reverse Engineer (very difficult) and was asked to be a mentor for this community. Gemi is very talented in her own right, but she also has a lot of love and compassion for other musicians. If you book calls with her, you'll quickly find that she's not only helping you get better but also giving you a bit of joy and confidence in your day. She has that kind of energy! We love Gemi and are excited for her journey as a mentor. I hope everyone can give her a warm welcome here in this community :)

@Dean Rector they kept mixing up the terminology lucid is their new effect we were showcasing. Your right it's not a synth but a granular effect. I'm not sure if current is available for sale because that's there flagship synth.
Apply for a scholarship to The Profitable Engineer
Hey everyone, thanks to those who joined us live at the open day for The Profitable Engineer! It was super inspirational and thanks again to @Kevin Koelzer, @Sally Whitham and @Damian Baca for sharing their stories. If you missed it, you can catch the replay here. 🚨 We announced on the webinar that we are awarding a full ride scholarship and multiple partial scholarships (worth half of tuition) this month for The Profitable Engineer. If you're interested in learning more, start by watching the replay above for all the details, then apply for the scholarship here: mastering.com/scholarshiptpe Even if you don't think you'll get it, it's worth a shot! Applying doesn't guarantee you a scholarship, but you won't know if you don't try. We'll be reviewing everything over the weekend and early next week, so ideally submit your application by the end of this week. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about how the program or the scholarships work. Excited to be working with more of you inside the program! (For those who don't know, The Profitable Engineer is our career and business program designed to help you make a part-time or full-time income from music) Cheers, Rob

@Fourfive Hxllxw yo just being honest here, no one in the industry works for free. No serious artist in the industry expects an engineer, or producer to work for free. When some one does work for you, it is helping you achieve your sonic goals and depending on how good they are, that's exactly why you would pay them their rate. Engineers and producers spend thousands on the craft, from equipment, to tools, to education, mentorship ect. Why would anyone who'd invest in themselves like that trade all that time and money for the promise of exposure. You were right in this thread to say you definitely need good music to succeed in the industry, but what you didn't say is that too succeed in this industry you have to invest in yourself, even if that means paying people to do the good work that makes the record shine, the producer, the mixing engineer, the mastering engineer, the marketing team, the videographer, the distributor...everyone. The ones who dont make it are the ones that try to convince others that exposure alone will pay there bills. And in my experience no body at a high level wants to work with those types of people. Just my 2 cents.
