Game Warmup Routines
I remember @Tyler Coston saying once that he could tell who was going to win during the first 30 seconds of the team warmup by the way they communicated and the energy they brought. I think we can all agree that those points are crucial for pre-game! But I see a lot of different stuff from a lot of different teams. What are your go-to pregame actions?

@Mitch Carlson it is the Aug. 30 2024 episode called The Power of Natural Consequences.
How do you handle close game?
We recently had a scrimmage and the kids played well. There are definitely things we need to clean up. One area I had a question about is an end of game situation. (I know I need to practice this more.) However, I wanted to know how you all might handle this. If one of our principles of play is to Race first Race always, what do you do or how do you handle the final 2 or 3 minutes if you are up by only 2 possessions? In PA we still donโ€™t have a shot clock. What would you all do? Thanks!

I Love that! That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Coach!
Race and Space organization
I am trying to create a SSG library to teach Race and Space as well as the Rose series. I am wanting to make my practices this year anywhere from 50%-75% Games based, so my players are learning decision making through a game based context. The problem I am running into is that I feel like I am not being very SAVI. I feel like I am making it way more complicated and complex. I just keep collecting all these different SSG. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to SIMPLIFY this process? Also, does anyone use a Role application for players who want to try out for a specific role in the Race and Space offense?
Can you Lock Left while playing a Zone Def.
This was a question I have been thinking about. I just wanted to see what others thought and if so, How would you implement the Lock Left principles in to a zone defense? Also what zone defense do you think the LL principles would work best in; 2-3, 1-2-2 (3-2), 1-3-1, or 2-1-2 (half court). Thanks for any input!

Thanks Clare for your insights and examples!
Series or Actions vs. Zone Defense
This up coming season we are going to be running Race and Space. When we get to Layer 5 we will be running the Rose Series as well as Zoom action when we pass from the slot to the corner. However a majority of the teams we play run zone defense. 1-2-2, 2-3, and 1-3-1. What actions work best against these zones?

I just finished my first year coaching. I have played basketball in High School and played 1 year in College. I still play now 2 days a week.
