This Christmas, I got crafty 🎄
My family can go a bit over board with spending money on Christmas presents. This year I thought I'd gift something more personalised and less costly. Inspired by the concept of Soul Art, I spent a little time making these for my loved ones. It's the first time I'd painted in a while, and I also finally made use of the wood burning kit I bought as an impulse buy a few years ago. Afterwards, I felt an incredible sense of fulfillment. Making things is fun!! ☺️ Has anyone else done any crafty gifts this year?

@Natasha Fernandez my brother is a comic illustrator and creator for Topps trading cards. He does art for the big pop projects like Star Wars and Stranger Things. I’m always fascinated by the design process.

And we made tons of snowflakes for our walks and trees and my adult kids have had the best time making them.
Textile arts and loneliness🕯️✨
I learned how to knit and crochet when I was about 5. At some point in my teenage years I stopped it and this year I have returned to creating with yarn again. This is my first attempt at knitting a sweater. It was such an intimidating project to take on and I am surprised at how easy it actually has been! I am hoping it will fit well and I will get lots of use out of it. PS the little pillow next to it is a crochet project I did this September. I felt lonely tonight knitting by myeslf. Everybody is spending time with family (I couldn't travel this time), so even a phone call is not really an option. I wanted to share my WIP to remind myself that I am not the only one creating something on my own. And through that I feel connected with all the sensitive souls staying indoors with their creations tonight🕯️

@Jenny Landis this is so special. Thank you @Elizabete Hiršsone for sharing your story and your project.
Do you have art-goals for the next year :)?
My goal is to invite my friends regularly over to my place, so we can create within community. The first meeting is happening next week! So excited for this ! So much better than just meeting for a beer at a bar.

I love this. I’m actually getting excited about taking what was a hobby and turning it into a new business. We actually won’t launch until July but this next 6 months is going to be a creative adventure and moving back into something so beautiful that gives me so much joy. 🤩 I love spaces like this with humans like you @Ingmar Mareen and @Jenny Landis that encourage me to build something fun and pretty. It will have an in person element too!! I’m so glad you’re having creative meetups.

Hi, I’m Jenny, a Registered Psychiatric Nurse based in Canada. Nursing has taught me deep compassion, patience, and how powerful it is to show up for people on their hardest days. SoulArt is a passion project close to my heart ♥️ a space where creativity, healing, and connection come together. I truly believe there’s so much strength in learning from each other and creating opportunities from the skills and experiences we already carry. This community is here to support that growth, both in mental wellness and in spirit. Who are you, where are you? What are you passionate about today? Share a few words, an image, or simply witness. When you’re ready, join a LIVE Sip & Spark or explore the Event Calendar. Start here: 👉 Visit the Classroom and begin with Soul Spark. You’re welcome exactly as you are. 🌿
