@Khalid Makki time to get a new client, you can’t outperform the CEO

@Shafaq Kazmi I think you have to look for ways to get paid. Anything that can get you closer to making money is the priority. If you need to learn the skill creative strategy, learn the fundamentals. If you need to learn how to close clients, learn it. I’m extremely community and course agnostic. I just join things that have some things I need on my journey. So I wouldn’t ever worry or focus on maximizing info. Just focus on maximizing the action you need to take to generate some initial income. And then start to pay for more expensive coaching perhaps with 10% of your income.
The answer to your questions...
Hey Copywriting Launchpad! Recently, I gave everyone on the copywriting.org email list an opportunity to Ask Me Anything… As I went through the many replies, I realised so many copywriters right here in Launchpad share the same questions.Enjoy! ⤵️ “How do I get good at copywriting? “ If you want to get good enough to confidently offer your services and charge premium rates, you need to do three things. First, find good copy to study it. Break it down into structures that you can use again and again. And if you’re struggling, then ask yourself “what are they doing in this section, and why?” This way you will keep building a deep understanding of the craft. Focus less on research, and more on breaking down WHY copy works so you can replicate. (I’ve already built this for you in Copy Systems™ where hundreds of copywriters are enjoying clear systems to write every type of copy. But you can also just do it yourself.) Second, take action aggressively. Copywriting is like any other high-paid skill - it's not easy. Anyone who told you it’s easy, needed to sell you their course. You need to put the reps in. There's no shortcut around this. Also go out there and offer your services. The best way to get better is to do some actual work for a business. Third, get a mentor. Someone who can chief your copy, show you where to improve, and expose your blind spots. A good mentor can solve a problem for you in a single conversation which might take you months to figure out on your own. “How do I land my first client?” If you're asking this, you're right at the beginning of your copywriting career. The good news is you don't need to be a master to start landing clients. You just need to get good enough at one type of in-demand copy so you can deliver quality work consistently. So make sure you’re showing up like a pro with a clean CV & portfolio, professional looking profile pic, plus a clean appearance and audio when on calls. Then identify what sort of business owners you want to work with, figure out where they go to find copywriters, and reach out to them and their team directly (I share the best way to do this below.)

nice to hear it!
Do sending samples still work in 2025?
I guess most of the copywriters get stuck at this stage. I've seen a few videos on OUTREACH, and some say it's good to send samples, while some say it makes you look cheap, inexperienced, and begging. I am not sure what to do. @Nabeel Azeez @Matthew Volkwyn Can you guide us, please? I am sure your suggestion will make things clear for me and others, too.

like everything, when done right it can be effective. You need to identify a real problem a business owner has and then focus on clearly communicating how your copy SOLVED it
Future of Copywriting Launchpad
@Nabeel Azeez @Matthew Volkwyn What are your plans for this community? Of course, I'm not expecting you to spill the tea, but I was just wondering what your goals are, since, for example, I haven't yet seen any posts from Matthew.

We have an interview that's coming out today on my YouTube that talks about the community. That is going to kickstart my involvement here a lot more. I've been busy with other projects over the last month. Ask me some questions and I'll see when I can get to them.
