Hey everyone, did you notice there's currently a competition/ contest on? 👉🔗 Announcing the Fabric Extensibility Toolkit Contest Is anyone building anything for it? I'm tempted!

@Will Needham does the link they shared for the contest details work for you? I'm unable to access it - https://aka.ms/exttoolkit/contest

@Craig Hovet yes! Do share some details sometime. About the processing improvements/comparisons with having the workloads in DF vs Spark. Thanks!
Career Shift Update
I’ve been pretty quiet the past couple of months because I’ve been deep in Python, AI engineering skills, while staying steady with Fabric. I’m grateful to share that I’ve accepted the Senior AI Engineering role at my institution — something I’ve been working toward relentlessly since January. Thanks to everyone who shares their work here; it’s been a huge part of how I’ve kept moving.

The Lakehouse SQL endpoint is still lagging
Dear all, I'd like to share with you this annoying issue with the Fabric Lakehouse SQL endpoint. I tested it multiple times, and I still see discrepancy: you update, insert, or delete rows in Lakehouse tables, it succeeds, but when you query the table, the changes are not reflected, so if you have a process that table, it will read the old version! https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFabric/comments/1fput1m/to_microsoft_with_love/ The workaround I tested: - To set a wait activity if you are using a pipeline - a refresh SQL endpoint Python code https://gist.github.com/MarkPryceMaherMSFT/853cdc0d9d421482814b8195aba55434 I'd like to hear more from you. What workaround do you currently use ?

@Makram Amor as Will suggested , the REST API has been great for us. We used to do this manually before as using Python was not feasible since we didn't have data pipelines at the time. Now we're triggering this API in our pipeline and it works great. 😊

@Jean Wang sure here it is - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/sqlendpoint/items/refresh-sql-endpoint-metadata?tabs=HTTP
Fabric Data Engineer role bagged!
I am so excited to have signed a contract with a consulting firm for a Ms Fabric data engineering position. I had to do a trial project involving data extraction from an API, showcase the medallion structure and visualize the data. The position is part time so I still get to keep my analyst role in my current company. Thanks @Will Needham for the dedication you have put in creating all that wonderful content!!
