Good morning! How are ya? + I have a new tool that is doubling my productivity.
Hey guys, How's your week going? Any wins or things that are exciting. The tool: Time Studies The past several days I've been infatuated with doing time studies - basically documenting every 15 minutes of my day, EVERY... SINGLE... 15 minutes of the day. Through that process I've been able to review my productive days and my unproductive days. Here's a couple of things that I learned from the time study - My most productive days are when I take the time to plan and then execute my plan. - My unproductive days are when I don't plan properly and when I talk on the phone + i end up scrolling and browsing the internet in general. But on my unproductive days I'm trapped because i don't want to plan. Why? because it's going to take me at least an hour and a half, and I already feel rushed to be productive that day because I already slept in cause I stayed up too late the night before. But now I KNOW(because of the time study) no matter what time I wake up I'll be unproductive without a plan So let me know your thoughts, and if you're interested in doing a time study, Heres how. - Get a spreadsheet. It can be Google Docs or it can be an app on your phone(you only need 2 columns - time of day & activity. - Set a timer on your phone for 15 minutes and repeat it every 15 minutes. - Write down what you do, what you just did, every time the timer goes off.

Thanks for sharing this @Ryant Nelson! I was just saying that I'm going to start time tracking again this week! I tend to do hour intervals but it makes such a difference. It makes me aware quicker if I'm on schedule or not and I can check in and see what throwing me off before it gets to the end of the day and I'm like what all has been done?
🚨 UPDATES 🚨
What's up everybody! I've been really really busy. Just getting some breathing room. buuutttt I GOT UPDATES 1. Just had my first event! (Photos attached) It was really really dope. I haven't forgot about y'all who's asked about joining the event I wanted to make sure it would actually be worth sharing to more than the 6 people who attended. (reviews below) 2. Also I talked to Videographer today and he was complaining about not being able to find the right people. This is what I told him – "hire your peers" – we all know someone that is on our level. Those are the people we need to hire – but they cost more so guess what... We gotta charge more. 3.Update on the 14 day course to get videographers started – I'm recording videos this week and getting them uploaded so be on the lookout for them. I've had it on pause bc business picked up a lot. We're still busy but we had to grow and get some help. That's all the updates I got. What have ya'll been up to ?

@Ryant Nelson well I got to see one of my members in person this past weekend and that was cool. We are in similar circles and she joined from me talking about the challenge on LinkedIn. It’s also been cool just gathering like minded people. Most of my members are in the wellness space and it’s been fun seeing the different events they have coming up.

@Ryant Nelson yes for sure! So far a lot of my members are in my city or California and I would love to have an official in-person meetup or training.
Heyyyy Everyone!
Hey, I've been working working–I'm sorry I've been MIA but I'm back now soooo... What did I miss? Have ya'll been as busy as I have? BTW: I came back with some goodies for you. While I was gone I developed a new way to: 1. Work with editors. 2. I learned several new tricks on Davinci Resolve (did you know it will automix all of your audio for you & it has a boring detector lol. 3. I'm hosting my first Live workshop September 7th called Create & Connect & we've got 5 of the 10 slots pre registered. Also, personally–the last two weeks have been busy, yet overwhelming. I realized that its pretty depressing to think about ALL of the work I have to do (especially while feeling like im behind on things- like the 14 day course for in here. My solution & what helps me feel kinda better is to immediately start working on the next thing & make as much progress in the first 30 minutes as possible. Like a sprint. It could be editing, recording content, working out (oh yeah I've been working out 😎) – whatever it is i'm going HARD that first 30 minutes and it's been feeling better. Anywho.. How ya'll doing?

A boring detector?!? Can you explain a little more on this @Ryant Nelson? I've yet to use Davinci Resolve but I need to try it out. And congrats on those pre registers for your upcoming workshop. Where can we learn more about it?

Welcome yall!
Question
For those who do virtual interviews, what software are you using for software? Zoom is so grainy, and not a huge fan of Streamyard yet. Would love to hear your opinions!

Hey @Drew Cost! I like to do interviews with Ecamm. It allows me to do a lot of the post editing adds during the recording however it's only for Mac. Another platform that I have used in the past is Riverside. I've noticed that people have had mixed reviews when it comes to using it though I've never had any issues with it.
