Hi I’m Mera
I’m a Montessori educator, birthworker/midwifery student and wellness faciliator. I am passionate about helping families thrive, from pregnancy on. I offer doula and childbirth education services, meditation, breathwork and intuitive healing. These are things I’ve done on and off for the past 20 years so I am essentially restarting. I have a group here on Skool where I offer coaching and courses related to maternity and Montessori.

Daily practice
What is one simple practice you do every day before you start work? Something that takes 5-10 minutes?
Celebration 🎉Following my energy is working...
Hi everyone, I want to share something that’s been unfolding in real time for me, because the shift has been bigger than I expected, and it all started with choosing to lead with energy first. Over the past month, I stopped forcing myself into a rigid morning routine and started listening to my body. Before doing anything strategic, I grounded my energy, pulled a card, and asked one simple question: What do I need to focus on today? That small daily practice opened the door to everything that came next. Here’s what shifted when I followed what my energy was asking for: 1️⃣I told myself the truth about my messaging. Most people find me through LinkedIn… yet I wasn’t actually showing up there in the energy-first way I teach. So that became step one: show up differently. 2️⃣I learned how to use LinkedIn in a way that honors both energy and strategy. I didn’t need to hustle. I needed clarity and alignment. 3️⃣I implemented from a grounded place. Every post, every message, every decision was guided by my energy first, strategy second. 4️⃣I measured the results over the past 30 days… and here’s what happened: - Over 250 new followers. - My first clarity call was booked by someone who found me organically. - My first post was reshared by someone I’ve never met because the message “hit home.” - This has shown me, once again, that when we align our energy with the action we’re taking, our business responds. The universe is always guiding us. When we actually listen, things start to move. How is energy speaking to you right now? Share in the comments, I’d love to hear how this is showing up in your business.

How to assess whether a business idea comes from desire or pressure
If your business idea only feels good when you’re trying to prove something, it’s not coming from desire. It’s coming from survival. You’ve spent so many years proving your worth inside the system that you don’t always notice when you’re doing the same thing in your business ideas, too. How to assess whether a business idea comes from desire or pressure... You’re not confused. You’re hearing yourself. You just haven’t learned to trust that voice yet. Here’s how to feel the difference clearly. 1. Start with your internal state, not the strategy Sit still for a moment. Breathe into your chest. Ask: If I didn’t need to prove anything to anyone, would I still choose this idea? Desire feels like your chest opening. Pressure feels like bracing for impact. Your body gives you the truth first. 2. Trace the idea back to where it originated Write the idea down. Then ask: Where did this come from? Did it rise from a lived experience or a passion you’ve carried for years? Or Did it appear after comparing yourself to someone else or trying to meet an expectation? Desire begins within you. Pressure begins outside you. 3. Imagine actually delivering the idea Walk yourself through offering this service. Pay attention to your body. Does your breath deepen? Do you feel grounded and steady? Or Does it feel like you need to over-deliver to justify it? Your mind negotiates. Your body doesn’t. 4. Ask the one question that removes all noise Would I choose this path if no one ever knew I chose it? Desire doesn’t need applause. Pressure needs proof. 5. Take one grounded action, not a rushed one Desire invites ease. Pressure demands urgency. Choose one next step that feels like movement, not self-protection. If you’ve ever built an idea and secretly felt heavy inside it, this is why. You were building from survival, not truth. You deserve to create from alignment, not pressure. If you want your next idea to come from desire instead of survival, start by clearing the energy that’s been shaping your decisions.

I feel like I'm always in survival mode
Mid-day misalignment isn’t a failure of focus.
It’s simply a sign the energy has drifted out of the body and into the noise. A single minute of presence can undo hours of scattered energy and shift the entire direction of the day. The good news? It doesn’t take a complete break or meditation session to come back. Sixty seconds is enough to reset the entire system. 1️⃣Step 1: Root the feet Feel the weight drop down. The body settles first, the energy follows. 2️⃣Step 2: One long exhale The exhale clears the static, the “trying,” the tension, the mental clutter. 3️⃣Step 3: Name what’s happening internally Pressure in the chest, scattered thoughts, tight jaw. Awareness alone shifts energy out of autopilot. 4️⃣Step 4: Ask the aligning question “What is the next grounded step?” This redirects everything back to clarity and presence. 5️⃣Step 5: Inhale a single intention Choose one word to anchor the rest of the day: calm, capacity, confidence, ease. 6️⃣Step 6: Let the shift settle That subtle drop or softening is alignment returning. Let it guide the next action, not the mind’s urgency. When alignment is restored, everything becomes simpler. Decisions get clearer. The body relaxes. The afternoon unfolds without forcing. A minute of presence creates an entirely different outcome.
Mid-day misalignment isn’t a failure of focus.
