Roast me please
Now it's time to take a sip of my own medicine Roast: https://www.skool.com/yard My about page conversion rate has been tanking recently and I would like to know what your opinions on why that might be. I used to sit at 28% conversion rate and I've changed nothing in the last week or so. It's been below 15%, which is a pretty drastic drop off My plan is to add a section for what you get inside and screenshot-style images of the classroom calendar pages and community walk-through video potentially

You got it! The biggest issue isn’t the offer — it’s trust overload. Right now the message feels like: āž”ļø too many claims āž”ļø too many numbers āž”ļø too much hype āž”ļø not enough clarity about the actual transformation When people read this, they may think: ā€œIs this real… or just another hype funnel?ā€ Even if everything is true, the way it’s presented can create skepticism. šŸŽÆ What’s hurting conversion 1ļøāƒ£ Too many proof points at once You’ve got: - $60K in 60 days - 1,000 MRR in 43 days - rankings - member growth - zero audience claims Instead of building trust, it creates information fatigue. People don’t know what to focus on. Less proof = stronger proof. 2ļøāƒ£ It’s about you , not them Almost every line is: - I made… - I ranked… - I achieved… But the reader is wondering: ā€œWhat happens to ME?ā€ High-converting copy flips the focus: āŒ ā€œI made $60kā€ āœ”ļø ā€œHere’s how you can get your first paying members.ā€ 3ļøāƒ£ The promise feels too big too fast ā€œOwn one of the best schools in the world in 90 days.ā€ That sounds unrealistic — especially for beginners. Big claims = higher skepticism = lower conversion. 4ļøāƒ£ Mixed messaging Is this about: - money? - legacy? - passion? - freedom? - rankings? - relationships? It’s trying to be everything at once. A confused mind doesn’t buy. āœ”ļø Pick ONE core promise Example: ā€œI help creators get their first $1K MRR on Skool — without ads or cold DMs.ā€ Clear. Believable. Specific. āœ”ļø Lead with the problem, not the flex Instead of: ā€œI made $60kā€¦ā€ Try: ā€œIf your Skool conversion rate dropped, it’s usually not traffic — it’s messaging.ā€ Now you’ve got attention.

@James McDonald Oh yes! Excuse me!
šŸ“ø "Photo Shoot" Mode
I wanted to see if I could make a character flow seamlessly through a dynamic pose sequence like a real-life professional shoot. Pretty happy with the results.. What do you think? Master this skill, generate a high-end AI video in 20 minutes with my app, and sell each one for $50. Check out my community, I would love some feedback. I will return the favor. Check it out HERE

1ļøāƒ£ It sounds like everyone else’s financial group Right now this reads like a template pulled from Facebook groups in 2018. - ā€œYou’re in the right place.ā€ - ā€œSafe space.ā€ - ā€œNo shame or judgment.ā€ - ā€œSupportive community.ā€ These phrases are so overused that they’ve lost emotional power. They don’t differentiate Dr. Sev from the thousands of financial coaches online. 2ļøāƒ£ Too much empathy — not enough authority The divorce mention is humanizing, but the page leans heavily into comfort and not enough into credibility. People struggling with money don’t just want safety — they want someone who clearly knows how to get results. Right now the energy feels like: ā€œCome heal with us.ā€ Instead of: ā€œHere’s the proven path to financial stability.ā€ 3ļøāƒ£ The benefits are vague and fluffy Examples: - ā€œPractical tipsā€ - ā€œAccess to resourcesā€ - ā€œLive hangoutsā€ These don’t answer the real question: WHY should someone believe this will change their life? Specificity builds trust. Vague = scroll past. 4ļøāƒ£ Too many exclamation marks + emoji bullets It lowers perceived professionalism slightly — especially for financial advice where authority matters. You want warm AND expert — not casual community organizer energy. 5ļøāƒ£ The CTA feels small ā€œClick JOIN GROUPā€ sounds like a generic Facebook instruction. It should feel like: āž”ļø stepping into transformation āž”ļø joining a movement āž”ļø taking control 🧠 Core Problem (big picture) This page is trying to be: - supportive - relatable - educational - community-focused - coaching-focused …all at once. So it ends up sounding safe but not compelling. You need a clearer positioning: This is the place where financially stuck people become financially confident. šŸš€ Better Strategy (Positioning Shift) Instead of leading with struggle → lead with identity transformation. People don’t join groups because of features. They join because they want to become someone new. ✨ STRONGER ABOUT PAGE (High-Authority Rewrite)
