HEY Y'ALL! I'm Corey, I just got here after Jay's Instagram content introduced me to Thor's mission and the New Earth community. DANG IT SMELLS GOOD HERE. I'm getting fired up reading everything after watching that video and barely know where to begin. It's been an intense 5 years for me. I've experienced some extreme highs and lows on my journey and through it all, I've wound up finding a path doing tree planting and other forestry. I pursued music in college, wanting to meet bandmates and put on shows for people where I could let that authentic self out on stage, nothing makes me feel better than playing with people and just enjoying the time we get. When the pandemic totally halted that course, I fought for it as long as I could until I didn't even know what I was pushing for anymore. I let it go and tried a few things but now, as I was realizing more and more about authenticity, narrow minded perspective, spiritual discernment, how music actually affects us, consciousness and reality itself, I've not only realized I can't help but just BE a musician, but people keep telling me even in the forest with nothing around, they like it when I play. And that tells me my passion is worth something to humanity. So I should enjoy it and share. I love to connect with people through music. We've all got something to contribute around a campfire and under the sky, there's a song somewhere about all God's critters got a place in the choir. Waking up was hard on me. I wasn't gentle putting two and two together, I made a lot of angry and fearful mistakes. By the grace of God, Creator, Life, however we wanna call it, I was allowed to keep going and keep my closest loved ones. The fact that I am allowed to heal, identify with the ball of light my mom knew I could be, and remember to be here for myself and my tribe tells me that I may be in the right place. Feels kinda crazy being in a place where we're all talking about these things. But I hope I can connect with folks and join calls and meet people who believe in balance and truth.
