It's crazy how I was working with Dionna as a single woman and now I am working with her as a married woman. She has been an essential person in this new marriage of mines and I am so grateful. I want to share a few things I have learned in the first 60 days since we got married. 1. God will bless your marriage if it is aligned and equally yoked. There will be evidence. This is my personal opinion but I promise you I believe this is true. 2. Keep God first. We do daily devotionals, start our day with prayer, and of course have our own time with God. 3. You are not perfect so stop trying to be. Allow your partner to see all of you but be open to feedback. He cares about you more than you know and is not trying to change you. He is here to grow with you. So if you aren't ready for constructive feedback from a Godly man, keep working on you. 4. Always find time for intimacy. Walk, read, watch tv, lay naked together. Whatever. Always find time for intimacy. 5. Set the standards of what make your marriage work. Recently, after a long day we both would go into just talking about our day when we first see each other. Now, we spend the first 15 minutes just either being silent or just doing something that supports us. I don't have it all figured out but I can say that I am blessed beyond measure. Thank you @Dionna Washington for all your wisdom. We appreciate you.
