Recent update and apology!
Hi all, Some of you already know, but I just wanted to share a quick update as a few of you have messaged to check in. My little boy had to go in for surgery recently, which has meant I’ve been a bit quieter than usual and not as active on socials. All went well and he’s recovering nicely. That’s the main thing. Really appreciate those of you who reached out. It doesn’t go unnoticed. And apologies to those who I’ve not managed to speak to in recent weeks! Normal service will resume very soon 👊 Darren

Ah sorry for not seeing this, I am so glad he is doing well it must have been a scary thing for him. Hoping everything has been well in the time since posting!
Ruined Throne Room-Revised Draft
My updated draft concept for Callum’s ruined throne room. I still couldn’t decide on which design I liked best, so I sketched them both. I might end up combining them together.

I love them. You deffo captured the feel with both of them. If you can mesh them together somehow yeah it would be so perfect. I feel like 1 has more structure detail but 2 has more ruined detail. Both incredible!

@Emily Hagenbaugh Looking forward to seeing it!
Quiet Moments in Games
Some stories don’t hinge on twists or spectacle. They hinge on the moment after the journey, when the searching finally stops. I’m drawn to narratives where emotion is carried through restraint: stillness as payoff, proximity as confession, silence as trust in the audience. It’s the same philosophy I bring to character-driven storytelling and narrative design. Let the player feel the history before they understand it. Let meaning surface slowly, like memory. P.S. Yes, I drew this! I use Procreate, and used watercolors.
