Japanese Larch - help needed
Recently got this larch and it is in need of serious attention before doing styling work. What can be my next steps to bring it back to health in our current Melbourne weather? The picture is a rough plan for future styling, but I won't be doing that work until it is growing strong and healthy?

Larch prefer damp but not wet soil and 6+ hours of direct sunlight if you’re recently coming out of a colder season that could be why it looks sparse Larch are deciduous conifers and drop their needles in fall you could also check the roots and make sure it’s not pot bound or getting root rot but it may just need time or could be going dormant for the cold season as well hope this helps!
