I was for 5 years Homie. A real one with all the substance abuse you'd expect from some twentysomethings in a power blues trio lol.
Thanks Omni
Periodically, I like to write some things in order to thank people, and this happens to be one of those times. I know there’s a lot more folks that follow Omni or part of Omni that we don’t see right on here, but those of us that do seem the right back-and-forth has been really an encouraging thing to me as a fellow guitar player. Love the idea, love the inventions, love the purchases that are shared with us in different in various ideas and most of all the talent that is amongst us. This has been fun and once again, like I said before, we all like the music. Taylor, thanks for inviting us.!

Custom guitars
I'd love to see some unique custom guitars please! This is the doodlebass done with a white paint marker. Not exactly custom. But what the heck, here it is.

I just got one of these and couldn't figure out what to do with it! Thanks for the inspiration 🫔
What drives us, what motivates us to want to play music!
Self indulgence? To feel good about a skill we developed? To prove I’m better than the other guitarist? Or just to play to satisfy a need? So on an so forth. But what I really believe, is that we learn a skill to first see if we can or could do it. But then music has this captivating soul feel to it. It does calm the savage beast so to speak?!!? But more than all that? It sends a message to the hearer. It frees our spirit and soul to receive and give. It expresses who we are! And with the Master’s touch, it can redeem us and all. Oh, music is the message! Play on brothers/sisters! PLAY ON!

I grew up listening to my Dad sing while my Uncle played. It was something that happened at EVERY family function, so I perceived this as "This is just something we do in this family.". I became the family bass player at 11 😁. I'm 35 now, and I still feel the same way I always did. I guess my point is that there wasn't this "drive to learn a skill" mentality for my personal experience. Being a musician felt more like an inevitability lol.
