The answer is… up to you! 🥤 Nothing is automatically off-limits in the Food Freedom way of eating. Instead of asking, “Am I allowed to have this?” I ask myself: “Does the amount I’m choosing fit the healthy, balanced life I want to live?” Could you drink three Big Gulps every day while taking a GLP-1? Sure. But would that choice support your health, hydration and goals? Probably not. 😂 What about diet soda? It doesn’t contain the sugar or calories of regular soda, but that doesn’t automatically make it “good” or “bad.” Some people enjoy it without a problem. For others, the carbonation, caffeine or sweeteners may increase bloating, reflux, nausea or bathroom issues—especially while taking a GLP-1. My personal choice? I drink about ½ cup of Dr Pepper Zero every day. It’s my little fun drink! I enjoy it, it satisfies me, and I don’t need a giant cup or six refills. And, I make sure I'm getting my 3 cups of water each day. My small drink doesn't replace that. That’s Food Freedom: enjoying the foods and drinks you love without turning them into forbidden fruit—or letting them crowd out what your body needs. So enjoy your soda if you want it. Just pay attention to: 🥤 How much you’re drinking 💧 Whether you’re still getting enough water 🤢 How your stomach feels afterward 🧠 Whether you’re choosing it because you truly enjoy it or simply out of habit You don’t need perfect choices. You need choices that make sense for your body, your health and the life you want to live.
