I'm awfully pleased to be a part of this vibrant community. I've had a checkered career- I worked for several multi national advertising agencies back when we only had 3 television channels. and a plethora of magazines (remember those?). I can be a good resource for brand development. And I'd be happy to share my knowledge of refining target audiences. I was also instrumental in launching a beauty brand at Target. i can offer advice on elements of package design and help you navigate the myriad systems that retailers insist you integrate with, like EDI. Since retiring early because of a stroke, I've lived as a nomad traveling the USA in an Airstream travel trailer. I reinvented myself as a writer, first with a travel blog. and i recently self-published my first book through Amazon. I would be happy to help members navigate that process and share any learning. I am hoping group members can help me understand digital marketing to help grow book sales. But most importantly, I am trying to encourage personal contact in today's contactless society.

Hi Everyone! A few lovely people have reached out to say hello, so I figured it was time to get my post in here. I am super excited because this is my first intro to a group where I can say I am an emerging Queer Canadian Author with my first book coming out next month. I write through mixed medium about growing up queer in the 90s and early 2000s before social media really took off and before we gained media representation. From aging to trauma, body standards to community labels, and healing in a world where the healing process has been dictated by our hetero counterparts, my book takes on social commentary and theology based on my life experience and observation of our community across platforms and places. My boring day job is in analytics for the time being but being able to collaborate and support each other - especially in places like this that don't rely on the prettiest picture getting the likes is super special. Looking forward to meeting you all!

I know last week we celebratedwins big and small, and today's reflection has me wondering everyone has in store this week? Personally I will be trying to not obsess while waiting for my ISBNs to be assigned, so hoping to distract with lots of yoga. And on the goal front I plan to reach out to some small book stores and see if they would be willing to do a collaboration event of book signing and reading 🙏🙏 What do all you have planned?
