@David Lockwood yes J R to start. I’m currently a self employed remodeling contractor. I’m want to get into junk removal since I see the potential in what it can turn into. So now after I stumbled onto you, I’m also looking into demo kitchen and baths. I’m doing all the research I can before I launch it at the first of the year. I’m in Polk County. I’ll have to stop by your facility for a tour sometime soon.

Any Advice: Pool Nightmare 😬
I don't know why I didn't think to lean on this community of professionals sooner, but I am here now and am need of some help/advice! My bid was accepted to clean out a bank owned property that has been sitting for 2 years and had been claimed by homeless squatters. Part of the job requires that the pool be cleaned out as well, which was used as a public dump. We managed to get almost all junk/debris out of the pool, but the water that is left behind is a biohazard as it had quite bit of human waste and the bottom is caked with thick sludge and some loose debris still that we could not get with the excavator and nets. Pool and regular septic pumping companies said they can not and will not touch this kind of job. The only companies so far that have even entertained quoting this have been vacuum truck (vactor) services. I have not yet reached out to environmental cleanup & remediation companies or construction dewatering companies. I finally got someone to come out today and give a quote, which they said it would be an estimated 10 hrs at approximately $289 an hr. I am trying to find a more affordable solution that will work. The major issues is that the water can not be pumped anywhere on the property, but rather needs to be collected and properly disposed of. Code enforcement has been keeping and eye on this property and is monitoring this process throughout. Does anyone have a viable solution at a more reasonable price, as this job is already behind the quoted timeline and over budget by quite a lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would think a septic truck could pump that water and sludge out. I would take all the trash out and leave the dirty water behind. Then call for the septic truck. That’s a nasty job and hope you don’t get beat up on it.
Why Do We Use Box Vans and Dump Trailers? Versus The Traditional Isuzu Dump Bed
There are many reasons why use this set up: One of the most important reasons is the advertising of driving around a billboard advertising for new business all day. (Its the second best way we get our business, can you guess what the first is?) Keeping tools dry and secure, allowing us to have everything we need with us all the time. A place to store stuff that we will resell out of the weather. The dump trailer allows us to sort right on the job and a way to do many jobs before hitting the dump. Also the dump trailer saves time and allows us to have more energy because we are not doing the labor to unload the truck by hand. We work hard to be effective and efficeint, this set up works great for all the things we do, over time we picked up doing lots of related things like flooring removal and selective demolition and we now have mulitple streams of income all being worked from this one box truck dump trailer set up.
