There are 2 types of psychological stress. Eustress is the good kind. Getting married, having a child, getting a raise etcโฆ Then thereโs the bad stress Distress. Car accident, divorce, losing a jobโฆ Hereโs the problem: The body canโt tell the difference between the two. The physical ramifications are the same. Emotions, on the other hand, are another story. They are sourced in the internal monologue we have About the event. How we talk to ourselves about any situation/ thing, drives our feelings about it. Implications for coaching?
