Marketing + Comms, Automating Rental Management, and More
Hi everyone, I'm writing from Portland, OR and I have several areas of interest. First off is the day job which is marketing and communications - how I streamline my work and that of my team using AI; we are a Microsoft shop so I'm using the CoPilot tools provided. Next, I am intereted in using AI to streamline managing my little residential residence business such as modeling out financials, improving leases, scheduling maintenance, etc. Then, how I use AI for all the other things - exploring board positions, hobbies, writing, etc. And finally, how my knowledge can support my daughter - a 24 year old in medical school so she's prepared for what changes will affect her choice of career. Thanks and looking forward to the journey! 😃
I'm happy to be here and your information and the community is easily digestible, friendly, and enaging. I'm going to a networking session on Wednesday this week with a focus on AI and I'll share what I learned. You've also inspired me to start sharing with my day job department and engaged our IT VP in supporting my team.
Delighted to be here...
Hi everyone, currently based in Chicago, I support Technology (SaaS) and Finance companies with enterprise-wide, digital transformation, and post-merger integration. Most recently serving as the Chief of Staff to the CEO. As someone who finds great joy in learning and teaching, I recently completed a leadership development sabbatical focused on AI. I completed two courses: Applied Agentic AI for Organizational Transformation at MIT and AI-Driven Leadership Strategies for the Future at Stanford. My real-world application includes an AI pilot and the launch of AI for the Legal department at a 600-person organization; building an app using Vibe coding to support a community of those who suffer from sickle cell disease; testing tools for specific use cases; and teaching a 6-week foundational AI class. I am so excited to be on this journey with you!

Those sound like wonderful courses. Would you recommend them?

Thank you - I will look into that!
AI in the Boardroom
hi all, I'm Rick and I live in Decatur GA, about 5 miles east of Atlanta. I've served on several non-profit and Corporate Boards in the past and am interviewing for new Board positions. I'm interested in how AI can help Boards with their governance mandates as well as how AI-functional-bots might assist CEOs in ways that are different than human Board members.

Great question, Rick. I like the idea.
Article: Something Big is Happening
You may have seen this one making the rounds this week. It's a well-done analysis from the perspective of one man, who's knee-deep in AI. Even if he's only half right, the implications on your business, your career, and your team are as dramatic as you may think. Worth 10 minutes of your time: https://shumer.dev/something-big-is-happening
Thanks for sharing - this was a really eye-opening read.
