😍 We Can Disagree Without Ruining the Whole Day! 💗
There was a time when a difficult conversation with my hubby could disrupt my entire day. I’d get offended. I’d defend myself. I’d try so hard to explain what I meant and convince him to understand my perspective. And when I couldn’t get him to see things the way I did, I’d get frustrated and pull away. Sometimes I’d carry those feelings around for days. I loved my hubby, but I didn’t know how to disagree without letting it affect how I felt about him and our relationship. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚. We still disagree. 😂 But something has changed in me. I can hear his perspective without feeling like I have to agree with it, defend myself against it or change his mind. I can tell him the truth and let him decide what he believes. And when we have a difficult conversation, I don’t have to carry the offense around for the rest of the day. I can move on and enjoy being with him. That’s HUGE for me! And it didn’t happen overnight. For years, I’ve been working with Holy Spirit through layers of hurt, offense, stubbornness and the need to be understood. Some of those layers took a lot of work. Others shifted a little at a time. I can’t point to one session when everything changed. But as I worked through my Quiet Times this week, I realized how much healing has already happened. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥. I don’t need to convince someone to believe me in order to trust myself. And I don’t need to take responsibility for how someone else chooses to respond. That freedom has changed the way I show up in my marriage. And I’m recognizing how important those same things are in business leadership. Being able to receive feedback, make decisions, hold boundaries and navigate disagreements without losing my peace makes room for healthier relationships and clearer leadership. I think of that line from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙃𝙞𝙢. That’s how I feel about the work Holy Spirit has been doing in me.

This is such a beautiful testimony of healing and growth! I can definitely relate to looking back and realizing that things that once hurt me or disturbed my peace no longer have the same power over me. What helped me recognize that change was realizing I no longer needed everyone’s approval, understanding, or agreement to feel secure in who I am. My identity is rooted in Jesus Christ, not people’s opinions. There’s so much freedom in learning to disagree without becoming offended or losing your peace. I love how the Holy Spirit continues to transform us from the inside out!
🙋‍♀️ I Used to Get So Angry When My Coach Challenged Me!
Not because she was being unkind or disrespectful. But because I had spent so much time thinking, studying and working through something that I was convinced I was right. And when she challenged the way I saw things, I felt like I had to defend myself. Looking back, I can see something I didn't understand at the time. 𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙. And that made it really hard to receive the very feedback I was paying her to give me! 😂 This came up in my Quiet Time this week when I was reflecting on Stubborn ~> Teachable. Stubbornness used to come up again and again in my personal healing work with Holy Spirit. Not just once. Over and over. And each time, something shifted a little. I can't point to one moment when everything changed. It's been years of peeling away those layers. But here's what struck me this week: I don't feel stubborn anymore. When my coach points something out now, I'm genuinely interested in considering it. Sometimes I agree immediately. Sometimes I push back. But even when I disagree, I'm willing to sit with what she's saying and ask myself whether she's seeing something I'm missing. I trust her to help me see my blind spots. And I no longer need her to agree with me to feel respected. One of the declarations I wrote in my journal this week was... 💗 I am respected because I am teachable. I love that! Because being teachable doesn't mean I have to agree with everyone or abandon what I believe. It means I can listen, consider another perspective and still make my own decisions. I'm curious about something... Have you ever received feedback that you resisted at first, but later realized was exactly what you needed to hear? What helped you become open to considering it?

@Lisa Vanderveen I love this reflection! I’ve definitely experienced moments when feedback was difficult to receive because I felt misunderstood. Over time, I’ve learned that correction doesn’t always mean criticism, and disagreement doesn’t mean disrespect. What helped me was becoming more secure in my identity in Jesus Christ and realizing I don’t have to defend myself against every different perspective. Sometimes God uses others to reveal areas where we still need to grow. Being teachable is such a beautiful sign of maturity!
When Someone Disagrees With You, Do You Feel Disrespected?
I've been reflecting on something that came up in my Quiet Time this week. For years, I struggled to feel respected when someone didn't agree with me. I didn't necessarily need them to do things my way, but I wanted them to understand why I saw things the way I did. And sometimes, not being understood felt a whole lot like not being respected. I'm curious how others experience this. Can you feel genuinely heard and respected by someone who completely disagrees with you? What makes the difference for you?

I absolutely believe you can disagree with someone and still respect them! I’ve learned that not everyone will see things from my perspective, and that’s okay. What matters most to me is how we communicate. We can have different opinions without being dismissive, disrespectful, or trying to control each other’s thinking. I’ve learned to value peace, healthy boundaries, and mutual respect over always needing to be understood or agreed with.
🙋‍♀️ Less Carrying It Alone. More Room for Your Calling.
I've been thinking about what becomes possible when we stop expecting every dollar we earn to come directly from the work of our own hands. I LOVE the work Holy Spirit has called me to do. I love teaching, creating and helping people experience transformation. And I want MORE time to do it! More time with family. More freedom to rest. More room to pour my heart into the work God has entrusted to me. And the opportunity to build wealth that goes beyond what I can accomplish on my own. That's what has me so excited about passive income! I LOVE the idea that we can participate in the prosperity God is creating through OTHER people. Someone creates something wonderful. We recognize its value, connect it with someone who needs it and have the opportunity to earn income from that introduction. Imagine the possibilities as those connections multiply! I'm excited about exploring how we can create more of this kind of freedom together. I'm curious... would you rather build passive income from your own products and services, or earn commissions by introducing people to valuable things other people have created? Or are you excited about doing BOTH? 💗

@Donna Thornton Thank you so much! Right now, I’m definitely more excited about growing what I’ve already created through my books, digital products, courses, and communities! I’ve invested so much time and energy into building these resources, and I want to see them reach more people while generating consistent, recurring income. I’m also interested in affiliate marketing because I believe both can complement each other beautifully. My ultimate goal is to build sustainable income streams that give me more freedom to enjoy life, spend time with family, and focus on my God-given purpose without constantly trading my time for money!

@Donna Thornton Thank you so much! You understand exactly where my heart is! Right now, I’m most excited about growing Glory Nation Academy and getting my courses, books, and digital resources in front of more women who need them. I’ve spent years creating valuable content, and now I want to focus on reaching more people without constantly having to create something new or trade my time for money. My goal is to build something sustainable that creates both Kingdom impact and financial freedom. I’m excited to see how everything unfolds!
🎉 Posting & Yellow pages in KPP
What makes Kingdom Peace & Prosperity different from every other promotion community out there (that I’ve seen so far!) Christian Business Owners only We are building a network of Christian Business Owners who know, & love & trust each other for the purpose of building the Kingdom which ultimately glorifies God. Posting for Profit You do NOT need to wait until you have something to sell to post here. In fact, I’d rather you didn’t. 😂 Our Posting for Profit cycle gives you four different kinds of posts: ATTENTION — Start conversations. Ask questions, share something relatable or get people talking about a topic your people care about. INTEREST — Share something useful. Teach, tell a story, offer an insight or help us understand something you know well. DESIRE — Help people see what’s possible. Share results, experiences, transformations or something that makes people want more of what you do. ACTION — Give us somewhere to go! Share your offer, event, community, affiliate recommendation, product, service or next step. And please — JUST POST. You do not have to figure out the perfect category first. If you put it in the wrong one, I’ll move it for you. You can also post as often as you’d like. The only rhythm I ask you to follow is: Attention → Interest → Desire → Action Then start again. So yes, you could post 8 times in one day and have TWO Action posts with Links if you wanted to! At first, cycling through the different types of posts may feel a little awkward. That’s okay. The point is to help us actually get to know each other instead of turning the community into an endless stream of offers. Connection first. Offers absolutely welcome. KPP Yellow Pages ☎️ This one has me VERY excited. We’re building a searchable directory of Skool communities for Health, Wealth & Relationships — and your listing can include your own community and your personal or affiliate link. I haven’t seen anybody else doing this. Instead of hoping somebody happens to notice your community in a post, the Yellow Pages will give KPP members a place to intentionally look for communities that can help them with something they already want.

I absolutely love what you’re building here, @Lisa Vanderveen! As a Christian entrepreneur and community founder, I appreciate that KPP focuses on building genuine relationships instead of simply promoting products and services. The Attention → Interest → Desire → Action framework is such a practical way to build trust and create meaningful connections before selling! I’m especially excited about the Yellow Pages because visibility is one of the biggest challenges community owners face. I love that you’re creating opportunities for Christian entrepreneurs to support one another, grow their businesses, and make a Kingdom impact. I’m looking forward to getting more involved and connecting with everyone! ❤️🙏
