WELCOME TO THE NIL NORTHSTAR COMMUNITY!
Where Parents & Athletes Finally Get the Truth About College Recruiting. Hey everyone — Coach Marc Nolan here.Whether you’re a parent, an athlete, or a coach supporting a young student-athlete, I’m thrilled you’re one of the first people inside this new community. For 51 years, I’ve worked with over 8,5000 athletes and families across dozens of sports, helping them earn more than $290 million in athletic scholarships — in an era far simpler than today’s NIL- and Transfer-Portal-driven chaos. And let me be honest with you… Over the past year alone, I’ve spoken with hundreds of anxious, confused, and downright frustrated sports parents on Zoom calls — parents who are overwhelmed by the hype, misinformation, mixed messages, and constant fear of “falling behind.”I hear their stress every day.I hear the uncertainty.I hear the frustration. And that’s exactly why this community exists. So please to "kick" this off (no pun intended) introduce yourselves and share a picture or highlight- and heck while were at it Let me know your thoughts on the CFP "committee" and who's in you top 12! And yes, we'll do other Top whatevers with the other sports but for now lets just start here!

Hi Coach Nolan and everyone! My name is Christy Hulsey. I'm the mom of Whit Hulsey — a junior kicker at Blessed Trinity in Roswell, Georgia. We are originally from Statesboro, where Whit grew up playing soccer and developed his love for football. My dad was an AVID fan and played a little in college himself, so we are very much a football family. Coach, I truly appreciate what you're building here. Honestly, we are not sure whether NIL opportunities or even playing in college will ultimately be realistic for Whit — but it is his dream. I want to support him and make sure we're doing everything we can to give him a fair shot if the opportunity is there. Football has been an important source of confidence and stability for him, and we are grateful for that above all. The recruiting landscape feels overwhelming, and having a space where we can connect with families who've been through this is awesome. Whit loves the game and works hard. His strengths are his competitiveness, resilience, and tenacity. He also looks up to Coach Nolan. This year has been personally grueling for him with unexpected, surprising and unfortunate personal challenges, and he found peace and routine in his sessions with Coach Nolan. We're here to learn, connect, and see where this journey takes us. We are focused on getting the most from what remains of his high school football experience, but I love the energy of college football and look forward to the conversations, the people here, and supporting you all. 🏈 As for the CFP rankings — I am a UGA and Whitaker Hulsey fan. Go Dawgs! Go Whit! 🐾 and I have no idea what the top 12 are right now. But! I am a mom who likes to WIN and that's where my strategic analysis ends. I'll just be over here hoping Georgia's in it and shaking my pom poms along when y'all talk brackets! 😂 Thank you for what you do. Let me know how I can help. — Christy
