Eager to know what I signed up for. With my ADHD I randomly sign up for things. Then continue on and do not complete. Sound familiar?

Hi, my name is Christy , I’m from a suburb of St Louis, MO, USA. I’ve been an educator since 2000. K12 for 15 years including teacher and principal. Currently I’m an educational consultant. I have a full time job and also teach preservice teachers at 2 different universities. I finished my doctorate in 2022 and that’s when my spiral started. It’s also when I finally sought an “official” diagnosis. Through the AI snapshot process - the tears just flowed uncontrollably (and we haven’t even started the challenge yet). It’s like I have a name for my experience now. Looking forward to learning. But fear my own patterns and lack of follow thru. Wife and mom of 3 + almost son-in-law.

Just finished the first section of my ADHD Snapshot and realized something I've been missing: I didn't develop ADHD problems at 50, I ran out of structure. My doctorate was the last big container holding everything together. The "organized chaos" I always called high achievement was actually my brain running on deadlines. Now I'm sitting with what that means.
