What Substack Actually Is...
What Substack Actually Is (and What It’s Not) Substack is often described as “a newsletter platform,” but that’s only part of the picture. At its core, Substack is: - a publishing platform - an email list - a blog - a distribution network All in one place. For coaches and service-based businesses, Substack works best when you stop treating it like another thing and start using it as a central home for your message. What Substack is not: - a social media platform you have to feed daily - a complicated tech stack - something you need to monetize immediately In this space, we focus on clarity first: - understanding how Substack fits into your business - what matters when you’re starting - and what you can safely ignore for now Next up - how coaches and service-based businesses can get started without overwhelm.

@Jill Hart thanks. I am brainstorming ideas for posts and more notes. An trying not to jump ahead so that I don't miss steps in the lessons.
How Substack, Skool, and Podcasting Work Together
One of the biggest mistakes creators make is trying to grow everywhere at once. A simpler approach is using three tools that work together: Substack→ your publishing home→ long-form content, email, authority Podcasting (guesting or hosting)→ borrowed audiences→ trust at scale Skool→ community→ conversation, connection, and conversion When used together, they form a simple visibility system: - your podcast appearances drive people to Substack - Substack builds trust and consistency - Skool creates community and deeper engagement You don’t need all of this set up today. This space helps you understand the how and the why - so when you’re ready to go deeper, you’re building with intention instead of trial and error. Substack really shines when it’s paired with community and conversation. That’s exactly what we build inside The You World Order - a space for coaches and creators who want to turn clarity into visibility, authority, and income. 👉 Join The You World Order and explore what’s possible when your message has a home.

This is awesome. I had actually been trying to map out what I had to see if starting a Substack was worth it and actually helped the ecosystem I am building. So here I am ready to make my ecosystem work better.

Welcome to Substack Starter Space 👋
So glad you’re here. 😁 This space exists to help you understand what Substack is, how to use it effectively, and how to get started without overwhelm. You’ll also see how Substack & Skool & podcasting (guesting or hosting) can work together as a simple system for: - visibility - authority - monetization This is a getting started space - not a coaching or monetization community. You can check out my substack here: https://hartlifecoach.substack.com And please, if you have a substack account already post the links here! Advanced strategy and hands-on support live elsewhere, and I’ll point you there when it makes sense. Before you dive in, I’d love to know where you are right now 👇 📊 Quick poll: Where are you in your Substack journey?
