My biggest win was getting the water intake in the mornings and changing my environment in my Home for better productivity. My biggest struggle at this time was squeezing in the time for me to take care of me and not feeling like I’m taking away time for something else. Like I’m realizing, self-care takes some work, and it’s hard because sometimes my mind wanders and I get the mother guilt that I should be doing more for them. I try to remind myself that my self care is for them. My kids have ADHD, as do I, lol and it Jsut gets so hard dividing my time and energy to all, making sure all is done while also taking care of me. It’s hard to explain in words, but this is what I struggle with.

My biggest win is seeing and feeling my strength. I was consistent with the gym this week and I was truly amazed. I could do so much more of the exercises I’ve been doing. The ab exercises that I could barely do on the bed- I can now do on the floor and longer duration! The cobra lifts that I struggled to do 10- I actually did 3 sets of 10 and was able to lift my myself from ground to knees for each set! I don’t even know how this strength is coming- I love it! I started with just the 5 minutes and pain relieving exercises and now I’m slowly moving into a solid steady workout. I could not wait to share this. My biggest challenge right now, is finding ways to get water in (for the mornings) I drive school buses and the hardest time for me would be in the mornings. I have my kids with me in the mornings to bring to school and it makes it a lot harder to go in schools in between the finish of each run, to use the bathroom as it’s usually a long walk (not complaining about the walk, but since my runs are back to back- it takes a good 10 minutes off). I wake up at 4:30am- and don’t get done until about 10-10:30 am (morning run). In one of the audios, you had mentioned about finding ways to get water in, even with these situations (amazed me that you thought about those situations). I was wondering if you could help me to find a way to get water intake in the mornings? I started with a water jug on the bus and taking sips every now and then throughout. I did get a gallon to fill with water and I take sips every so often while at work. But water runs right through me and sometimes I have to use the bathroom twice with in an hour if I drink of lot of water. So it’s a challenge for me at the moment.

@Joe Carabase I actually did this one time so far, and honestly, I cried and could barely talk. I Jsut looked at myself and told myself “I am in control”. I couldn’t say much else. My goal will be to do this at least once a week and increase it once I gather the strength to really face the inner me. It may sound weird but I can feel the inner me that really is begging to be heard and let out to shine.
Lower back pain relief exercise video
Thank you so much for that video. I started last night. Though I do them on the bed for now until my back can handle better, it felt really good to be able to do something as a workout and something to help relieve my pain. I do get scared that it would get worse because in some movements- it hurt. A herniated disc is so awful. Sometimes I don’t know if I’m making it better or worse. But, I have faith that with consistency, I will feel a difference and get to back to moving regularly. I’ve been doing small exercises in between work breaks- or when I’m waiting for something. Feels good to be be aware of something and make that step to change it. The only exercise I’ve been waiting to do is the tennis ball one. I may try it this week, but if it hurts to get into position, are there any suggestions? Any indication if it would be a “good” hurt where I’m helping it or a “bad” hurt that would mean to wait a little bit before trying again? Thanks!

@Joe Carabase omg, the exercises def helped a lot! My pain has not only decreased, but I’ve been able to work out more too! I don’t do too much just yet. I walk, do cobra lifts, and do the pain relieving exercises for now. As I walk on the treadmill, sometimes I’ll lift myself for a lil bit to take pressure off my back. It’s so amazing to see that today, I can do some ab exercises on the floor and to really see that I can do certain movements that I couldn’t do before

Everytime I watch these videos, it really amazes me of how you just hit it right on the head with everything. It’s like you’re in my brain, and can see all my thoughts lol It also amazes me how you flip the script to a positive. It’s a process, but it feels amazing to let go of the guilt and shame, and the “all or nothing”. I realize I was one of those- go all in, one mistake and self sabotage. Letting go of that, and focusing on one step at a time, and realizing that we practice self- discipline everyday- through daily habits, through work, through family, and so much more. It’s such an incredible feeling to look at myself in a completely different way. It’s a process, everyday I work at it.
