Upcoming Workshops
Just a friendly reminder that April's Workshop will be split into 2 parts. I would love to have you join both sessions or just one. The topics are related but one does not affect the other. April 18 at 2pm Eastern - Creative Containers You Have We will take an hour and explore free and inexpensive ways to come up with containers for your Tiny Gardens and how to get them ready for your plantings. April 25 at 2pm Eastern - Planting The Container Garden I will be taking one of the containers that I prepared on the 18th and taking it to a complete garden and take a look at some other gardens that are done. Come and join us and Show what you are putting together or get some pointers on what you want to put together.

Stump Auntie Vicky
Manitu here, some people call me Miss Vicky, or Auntie Vicky, so here is the game: Stump Auntie Vicky START by reading the disclaimer and the rules, then Come play in the dirt with me. Here is the deal, I have been in the garden since I could tell the difference between a weed and a vegetable. ----I'm counting on my fingers--- Over 50 years - I grew up with a traditional garden - I fed my own family from a small raised bed garden - I have operated a market garden - For the last 20 or so years, I have been container gardening while traveling from show to show in an RV I don't consider myself to be an expert in the plants or every technique. I promise, It's not that hard to stump Auntie Vicky. I am an expert at resiliency, because I have had to be. That means that I am an expert at: - Doing research and figuring it out - Experimenting without breaking the bank - Making messes and cleaning it up RULES: - It must relate to plants, gardening on a small scale, or tools - I will not give health or treatment advice that you should get from a doctor, herbalist, or other professional - You need to provide any clear photographs that are needed for identification. - My answers are my honest opinion based on my experience and research - One Stump Auntie Vicky question per member per month One winner will be chosen each month from the questions that Stump Auntie Vicky

I have african violets that have had a mild powdery mildew infection for a while. Is there anything I can do to help them?
Daylight
It's finally spring here in Ohio. Kind of. As we are coming close to April Fool's Day, it is a good time to post some sun information. On April 1 12 hours and 43 minutes of sunlight The sun reaches its highest point at 53 degrees and 3 seconds. This information is used to design gardens and green houses, placement of container gardens, and in the design of sustainable homes.

Garden Chat
Sunday's Garden chat was a lot of fun! We shared about the plants in our lives, artwork, and our 4 legged friends! I would love to see you there Friday or Sunday at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to share wins, get help with challenges, and say hi to each other's 4 legged family members.
