Advice on Instagram automation for gym owner
Hey Architects, I’m building a V1 automation for a gym owner (Achilles MMA) whose Instagram is growing fast. He’s currently overwhelmed because high-value leads are getting buried in his DMs. I noticed Ffern (a fragrance brand) sends an automated DM invitation the moment you follow them. I want to do the exact same thing for this gym to filter out the noise. The Plan: 1. The Trigger: Any time someone follows him or sends a DM, they get an instant, automated "Invitation" link. 2. The Intake: That link goes to a questionnaire that qualifies them. It finds out if they want standard classes or the high-ticket Tactical safety/Concealed Carry training. 3. The Quick Win: Using Make.com, if they flag themselves for "Tactical training," the owner gets an email alert to call them immediately. Everything else just logs into a Google Sheet. I’ve included a quick Loom showing the logic and the Ffern inspiration: https://www.loom.com/share/3fb58c55e9574f13bd36b62c194bbf05 I'd love your feedback: If you were trying to get a quick win here, would you proceed with this "Application" style approach? Also, which tool would you use for the questionnaire page to make it look as high-end as Ffern without being a headache to build? Thank you!

When should I request payment?
Hey guys I was wondering when you charge clients for automation builds do they pay you before the project or after the project? At the end of the discovery call you would go over on price then send a link afterwards for payment which confirms that you're going to start the project by x deadline?

How to Securely Share Passwords with Your Team or Clients 🔐
Sharing sensitive login information via Slack or email is a major security risk. If you are working with a developer, a dep, or an agency client, there is a much safer way to handle this using LastPass. Here is a quick video on how to set this up correctly.

Gut check: would you walk away from this deal?
A guy wants me to build an AI agent/automation for lead sourcing + outreach (real estate / life sciences). I told him my pricing would be $2k + $200/mo optional maintenance, but he countered with commission-based pay tied to how much he makes on real estate deals. He also said he doesn’t have the money right now, and payment may come after deals close. My gut feels off with this one. I want to make money, but I don’t want to waste time, energy, and resources on work I might get paid for. I also think this highlights a boundary issue on my end — I should’ve given myself space to think instead of agreeing too quickly. For anyone who’s done rev-share / commission-based builds: - What red flags do you see? - What minimum terms do you require before starting? (deposit, milestones, contract) - When do you walk away?
Need your input for this build on n8n (Solved)
Hey Architects — need your input. My next client has a Carrd signup form for a push-up challenge. Goals: - Capture every signup into a simple database (leaning Google Sheets, maybe Airtable) - Send a weekly email every Sunday to everyone who signed up (reminder / motivation) Plan: Carrd form → n8n Webhook (POST) → store signup → weekly Sunday email from n8n to the whole list. Questions: - Any Carrd → webhook gotchas I should watch for? (duplicates, spam, timeouts, retries) - Would you build this as two workflows (intake + weekly sender) or one? - For Carrd: do I need admin access to paste the webhook URL, or is there another clean way? Appreciate any advice!
