Data Science in Construction
I was wondering if there is anybody here who applies Data Science/Analytics to any part of their workflow. I am interested to hear about your experience.

@Ahmed Mutala Honestly I didn't follow a set program for it. Most of what I know came from picking a real problem at work and building something to solve it, then learning whatever I needed along the way. If you're starting out, get really good with spreadsheets first, organizing data and pulling it apart. That's most of the job before you ever touch anything fancier. From there a little bit of Python goes a long way. You can learn all of it for free. YouTube has full walkthroughs for spreadsheets, Python, and the basics of statistics, and there are free coding courses online that take you from nothing to writing real scripts. Once you're comfortable there are free public datasets you can practice on, so you're actually working with data instead of just following along.

@Tim Fairley Possibly, I'm sure people that play in the energy markets trade in some of the information that I look at.
What do you want to get out of the community? (And Welcome)
Hey Everybody A knew month so I thought I’d start a new welcome thread. Please comment and introduce yourself. Let me know what you are trying to achieve and if you have any questions about the resources. If you click on the “Classroom” tab you’ll get access to all the resources. My goal in June is to keep growing my consulting business and focus on re-building my construction project management course. The original is around 9 hours, but the new one I want to be around 30 hours and cover a few more important topics like software, AI and personal skills. Let me know if you have any questions!

Electrical Estimator based out of the Northwest US. I was brought here by Tim's videos on Data Science and AI in construction, two areas I have emersed myself in the last few months. I am hoping to learn more from the community about all things construction and happy to help where I can.
