what do you need from me
With track ending, what should I post? Workout of the week?
Female sprinter tilting head side to side
Hi Chris Hope you are well!Hope it's okay to ask this question here - I have a female athlete that is tilting her head left then right when she is running. In the 100 m hurdles she does not do that but in the 400 m hurdles she is breaking apart at the 150 then the head starts to tilt. Why is that? And also will the Vsit with all the different perturbations fix that? Thank you Chris

there might be a breakdown in the torso and the her head wobbles to keep a horizon. I will check it when you send the video
flat feet and force absorption
Hello Chris,do we know why flat feet= faster? it is evident that they do every elite sprinter have them do we know why though ?do they allow for more springy foot-running ONLY on ball of the foot and allow force absorption ? do they allow for more external rotation? whats your take .Also in ground contact when the foot is absorbing the force is extensive dorsiflexionin force absorption not ideal by the logic of the more you dorsiflex the more your shin becomes vertical and you push vertical also too much dorsiflexion is LOST ENERGY right ?Everybody dorsiflexes to absorb force but super elite sprinters(BOLT,JACOBS) seem to dorsiflex way less.

Feet come in all shapes etc. The basic is how well the foot stays rigid. The less collapse the more energy transfer. A dorsiflexed ankle in the air will absorb less force in my opinion. Send this question to Chris Kerr and I will talk about it this week on a Kerr talks
Foot crossing mid-line
Would anyone remember / be able to direct me to which presentation Chris talks about the foot landing across the mid-line of the body and what he does to correct it? Thanks in advance.

Anything with arms overhead is a great start as well as hip hikes with a Swiss ball
Idea for a post
Chris, I appreciate getting to see the weekly workouts you’re creating. Would it be possible for you to do a video where you explain the why’s of how you assemble each day for a week or longer? With the amount of exercises you offer, it’s not always intuitive to me as what exactly each one is there for.
