New with a question for feedback
Hi friends!! New entrepreneur with a business that gets other businesses on TV to promote their product/services across the country (USA). 1. Do small businesses/entrepreneurs even care about local news or is that too 'old school'? That said, it does get a business in front of thousands (backed by data), and there's no algo to wrestle. Background, I'm an EMMY award winning reporter who spent over 2 decades in TV as a news producer, then reporter, and later an anchor. The business is based on personal experience getting businesses, events, and organizations airtime and watching increases in revenue and sold-out events. Thank you for your time and gracious feedback!

@Michelle Rupp That makes sense ...you’re already doing a lot of the right things, especially with testimonials. One small shift that might help… instead of just showing testimonials, you could frame them more like a clear outcome story (before → TV feature → result). Sometimes people don’t connect the dots unless it’s super obvious and specific. Also, a lot of business owners don’t buy “exposure,” they buy *more customers*, *credibility*, or *faster trust* ...so the way it’s packaged can make a big difference. Have you tried turning one client result into a simple, step-by-step story post breaking down exactly what happened after they got featured?

@Michelle Rupp Love that you’re open to testing that shift... You already have the proof, it’s just about making the outcome undeniable so people instantly see what’s in it for them. Once you turn even one client into a clear before → after story, it becomes a lot easier for others to picture themselves getting the same result. When you post that first story, are you thinking of leading more with the result they got or the moment they got featured?
Why Less qualified people are beating you on YouTube (PASS this test)
It’s not because YouTube is unfair or they got lucky, but because they pass a test you don’t even know exists. YouTube doesn’t start by judging the quality of your content. The first test is whether people are even interested in the video. Every time your video appears in a feed, YouTube asks one question: “Did this earn the click?” If viewers scroll past, YouTube stops recommending your video, no matter how good the content is. That’s why so many experts feel YouTube is unfair. Their videos are judged before anyone hears what they have to say. While most experts treat titles and thumbnails as an afterthought, the world’s top YouTubers research the idea and design the title and thumbnail first, before making the video. Because they understand how attention works. If the packaging fails, the content never gets a chance.

Totally makes sense...so many creators focus on the content itself and forget the “packaging” first. Even the best video can flop if the title and thumbnail don’t grab attention.

@Shivam Doharey Yeah, it’s painful to watch honestly… great content just sitting there with no clicks. At the same time, it’s kind of a shift in mindset, the thumbnail and title aren’t separate from the content, they are part of the content. If they don’t spark curiosity or emotion, the video never even gets a chance to prove its value.

I love that combo... faith, AI, and strategy is a fresh mix that really speaks to both mindset and action. Using AI to streamline the process while keeping personal touch is smart.

@Lisa Ealy you’ve already got something meaningful built, which is the hardest part 💜 That mix of faith + AI + real strategy is powerful, especially for people who feel overlooked in the job market. Honestly, something like your “First Friends” GPT could be a great low-pressure way to start helping people and validating the idea before fully monetizing it. What’s been holding you back from sharing it so far?
YouTube Thumbnails for a Podcast
Hi everyone! I'm new here! I have a question concerning thumbnails for a podcast. I never thought of my thumbnails as an important part of the game but now I'm all in and I want to constantly improve. I'm seeing some podcast channels with thumbnails that include the host, the guest and a big bold text while others only have the face of the guest on the thumbnail with the big bold text even if the guest is not super famous. What do you recommend?

Welcome... You’re right, thumbnails are a huge part of the click factor. From what I’ve seen, bold text plus a clear face (host or guest) usually works best because it gives a human connection. If the guest isn’t super famous, featuring the host’s face can help maintain consistency and recognition across episodes. The key is clarity, people should instantly know who’s talking and what the episode is about, even on a tiny phone screen.
INFO IS DEAD 💀
Has anyone noticed how views and sales are a lot harder to get now on Youtube? With the raise of AI answering basic questions instantly now, surface level content on YouTube has been replaced, so the only way to Stand Out now is to build around what AI can't do (in a way that causes you to differentiate and own a space in your niche). Put in the comments, what are you doing to stand out on YouTube in 2026? 👇👇👇

Totally feel you bro...AI has definitely raised the bar for “basic” content. Now it’s all about showing your unique perspective, personality, and real-world insights that AI can’t replicate. Even small storytelling touches or behind-the-scenes honesty can make your content feel human and memorable.
