Walking in STEPtember 👟
TAKING ACTION: ✅STEPtember challenge this month! More details to come. ✅September is a transitional season into fall and when our bodies innately want to slow down and reflect- who is interested in doing a one-week No Background Noise Challenge this month?! Let me know in the comments!! Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe September is right around the corner? Wild, huh? 🤯 The good news is that next month also brings something else—our STEPtember Walking Challenge! This is one of the most fun challenges we do all year long and is the perfect way to ramp up our daily activity, improve our overall health, and shed a little extra fat! (Hopefully September is also going to bring some cooler weather, but I digress. 😅 ) We’re going to have a lot of fun this month, and of course, we’re going to learn! I’ve done my research and am collecting the most valuable (and interesting!) information on the benefits of walking—and I can’t wait to share it all with you! I encourage you to take advantage of our programming this month. This month’s activity (or lack thereof) will set you up and help you build habits for the upcoming holiday season. Now is the time to dig in, friends. Let’s go. 🔥

I’m all for a challenge. Although I may have to play around with this one. I intentionally put on certain podcasts at work.
Wrapping up mindset week
TAKING ACTION: ✅How has exercise changed your mindset? Have you noticed a difference since you began? Share with us below! We’re wrapping up our mindset week, and there’s one more topic I want to discuss—how exercise improves your mindset. At the most basic level, every time you choose to exercise or complete a workout, your brain gets healthier. Even better than that, every time you do a workout when you really don’t want to, your brain literally changes because you took a different route than it’s used to. When you do this over and over, your neural pathways change. When your neural pathways change—your life begins to change. 💯 According to the article below, studies find that it takes between six months and a year of regular, consistent exercise to reap the cognitive benefits. The good news is that it can be any form of exercise. If you can’t strength train or participate in high-intensity training, try walking! The point is to get moving and keep going. Your body and your brain will thank you for it! 👏 I know today is a rest & recovery day, but I encourage you to check out the article below to learn more about how exercise improves your brain health! ⬇️ Exercise can boost your memory and thinking skills - Harvard Health __________________________________________________ ‼️ Don’t forget to share your personal referral link with friends and family & invite them to the community! I’ll be honest I love to exercise. Even when I don’t want to I make myself do at least 10 min and usually by then I’m like well might as well finish the workout. Every once in awhile I do 10 min and stop but even then mentally I feel better because I did something. Exercising on my lunch break gives me that extra oomph to get through the day. It gives me a second wind. I don’t look fit or even look like those people who exercise all the time but I do workout usually 4-5 days a week when I can.
🎉 Friday Wins!!
TAKING ACTION: ✅Share your weekly wins today! I want to hear from you all! 🎉 It’s Friday, and you know what that means—today we get to celebrate YOU! 🎉 And since this week is all about strengthening your mindset, it’s important to know that celebrating yourself isn’t just fun—it’s also strategic, because it literally changes your brain. 💯 Here’s how it works (in simple terms, of course 😉) ⬇️ Small Win ➡️ Celebrate ➡️ Dopamine Release ➡️ Brain asks “How can I feel this way again?” ➡️ Brain seeks a way to feel this way again, which gives you motivation to keep going ➡️ You achieve another small win ➡️ And the cycle continues… See, I told you that everything we do around here isn't just for your body. It’s also for your mindset and brain. Check out today’s article to learn more about the importance of celebrating your wins! 🎉 From Small Steps to Big Wins: The Importance of Celebrating | Psychology Today

Beneficial Stress
TAKING ACTION: ✅New Clients: Skip straight to the bottom of this post and check out the ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO! ✅VIP Clients: Tell us one stress-reducing tip you practice and find beneficial! Let’s share today! If we’re going to talk about cortisol, we have to talk about stress… It’s important to know that some stress (short-term) can actually be beneficial for you. Things like exercise, riding a roller coaster, or even intermittent fasting offer short-term stress that can add to your life. Unfortunately, chronic stress elevates long-term high cortisol levels, which we already know leads to chronic health issues, sleep problems, and yes, the inability to burn unwanted fat. While we can’t eliminate all stress, the goal is to find natural strategies to reduce stress—especially in the evenings when we want our cortisol levels to be lower. Check out this great article with tips on how to quickly reduce stress ⬇️ How to relieve stress quickly (in 10 minutes or less) — Calm Blog ___________________________________________________ ⬇️⭐️NEW CLIENT INFO and TO-DO’s⭐️⬇️ Today, I want to know which of our foundational strategies you are feeling most comfortable with? Which one (or ones) are beginning to feel like second nature for you? The good news is that they will all begin to feel like second nature soon. You’re doing the things. You’re changing your life. 💯 🚀 Intermittent fasting 🚀 Whole-food nutrition 🚀 Weekly workouts ⭐️Before we wrap up, I want to discuss one more important thing—the difference between weight loss and fat loss. There’s a difference. Weight loss refers to a reduction in overall body weight, which can include fat, muscle, water, or other tissues. Fat loss specifically targets the reduction of body fat while aiming to preserve muscle mass. Weight loss can occur quickly through methods like dehydration or extreme dieting, but fat loss is typically slower and requires a combination of proper nutrition and exercise. Focusing on fat loss rather than just weight loss promotes better health and body composition. Weight loss is irrelevant without considering your fat percentage. We want fat loss—and that’s another reason I encourage you to stay off the scale. The scale can’t measure your fat loss. 👌

Mindset 🧠
TAKING ACTION: ✅Everyone comment MINDSET below if you’re ready to pour into your brain health and discipline this week! Also, share one main goal you have for this week! ⬇️ we’ve covered both strength and cortisol in depth this month, and this week, I want to talk to everyone here about the most important topic of all—your mindset. Most people can lose weight temporarily. Most people can diet temporarily. Most people can exercise temporarily. As you’ve learned, however, temporary doesn’t cut it. One reason our efforts end up as temporary is due to the fact that most popular diets approach fat loss completely wrong. Most diets aren’t sustainable. With that said, another reason our efforts end up as temporary is that most people don’t work on their mindsets along the way—and in case it isn’t obvious by now, mindset is everything if you want long-term, sustainable results. 💯 With September quickly approaching, the goal is to buckle down during this season before the holiday season arrives. What you do now will impact your efforts and mindset during the holidays. Now is the time, friends. Now is the time. Let’s go. 🔥

Mindset. I wanna get back into consistent exercise. I also want to eat healthier and not just mindlessly eat or when I’m not truly hungry. Got my first workout in just now on lunch break.
