what I just learned here with GOOSIFY, going through the classrooms, is insane value. So simple. So clear! And such a difference! 🤯🙈😭 Who can relate and why?

I met Goose at the meetup in BKK yesterday and I am FIRED up to launch my Skool. Favorite color: black Favorite pokemon: blastoise (because he's big and jacked) Current skool challenge: nothing yet. I'm going to launch it, invite close friends and current clients, and show up daily.

The year for me has been quite interesting... (expand out before commenting as questions at end) I had to spend from January to June focus more on being a care giver for my mom and unable to put as much time into my business due to that (I also was under the impression I was a bit further head than I presently am). To keep me going, as I am a car guy, I figured it would be worth looking into getting a project car or two off copart. First was a 2015 Scion FRS and a month later a 2011 Audi A4 Avant. Irony is that the second car finished in May and the FRS I can only start using in 2026. I thought I was further ahead due to having a leads list I manually scraped off of LinkedIn of those who I thought were in my ICP and when i would eventually run a cold email campaign it would generate sales. The results were quite the opposite... out of 830 leads I had 27% and 117 unsubscribes and only 3 took my free lead magnet. from August thru till now, I have been focusing on clarity of what I am offering and cleaning up how I am presenting what I have to offer - to the right audience. It is draining as the expenses have been above my income, so it is not sustainable whatsoever and I really doing what I must to break free from this. I also am refusing to go further into debt as that can spiral out of control and just make everything worse. It does not help being solo and having little help or others to bounce ideas off of or to get perspectives presented I may have missed. There is also another variable at play which I've been keeping very quiet - even to friends close by. Is that fact last fall I crossed paths locally with a woman who I had an instant connection with. Just the way that has played out I have heard from others to move on --- which the irony of said connection --- the moment I pulled back, the intensity of it picked up and as much as I tried to avoid her, I would run into her. It is draining menially as I want to do more, I want to give more and work with like minds. But the capital constraints makes challenging to do paid ads or others ways to advance the business further forward faster. Add the connection which in itself is hard to describe - in that weird limbo state. It is the uncertainty which weights on me and the frustration of not being able to do more, build more to help more.

Here a quick summary of my takeaways from todays event. Themes Find something you like and add it into your community to create conversation, fun and banter. Think Mario, Pokemon, Iron Man, A Fruit, just something relatable that becomes an inside joke. Emotions Communities are about emotion. How do we make people feel being part of the community? Hang out with people like you would your friends. Be yourself! Categories Make it fun with emojis. Ideally one word, one row. You know you have too many categories when the 'More' shows up. Less is more. The Three C's Being Clear and Charming or Clever wins over traditional value. The idea is to use personality in a way that is authentic genuine and caring. Classrooms First 3 classrooms could have a fun banner that stretches over the 3 cards transitioning from one to the other. Small details like this create a wow factor. These three should teach members how to post, how to comment in the community and give a free gift. Unlock each class using levels. This builds engagement and culture. Levels Use Emojis to show a theme. Different fruits are fun 🍆🍓. The goal...to make it interesting and relatable to the community. If 🍌 was Level 9, people will want to be that. Fire (from @Jen Ritchie ) Giving people a free gift/call if they earn the Skool 🔥 award/emoji on their name. Incentivizes members to engage and 'win' access to the owner on a call. Could be paired with items/courses or bonuses as well. Engagement Trumps Member Count Small communities can rank higher than huge communities on the Discover page. How? High engagement. An active community has activity, people are posting, showing excitement and having fun. Free Community Goals Turn members into ideal clients. Thought it might be useful for all.
