Posting Frequency and a Quick Trick
How often do you post on your Google Business Profile? Here’s a simple rule that works for me. Aim for at least one post every 7 days, ideally, 2 updates and 1 new photo each week. Consistency is key, and it’s one of the signals Google’s Ask Maps uses to decide who gets seen. Try this. Next time you get a great review, screenshot it, upload it as a photo, and turn it into a post! You can even batch a few and use the built-in scheduler to spread them out over the month. It doesn’t have to be complicated, just share anything new or anything your customers would love. What’s your posting routine? Do you have any creative ideas for posts that get attention? Drop your tips or questions below, I’d love to hear how you keep your profile fresh! 👇

I’ll do this once I get my first review 🙌🏽
Hola 🙌🏽
I’m Ceez (César González), bilingual life insurance agent out of the San Fernando Valley, CA. I run my own agency (Final Expense + IUL) serving Spanish-speaking families, plus a separate notary/apostille business. I’m working with two GBP listings — one for insurance, one for apostille/notary — and I’m here to level up both. Already have bilingual descriptions, citations, and a post-sale review request flow in my CRM, but I know there’s a lot more juice to squeeze, especially for local Spanish-language search. Main goals: rank higher in the local pack, get more calls straight from Maps, and dial in my review strategy. Excited to learn from you all — if anyone’s optimized GBP for a bilingual market, I’d love to hear what worked. 🤝

Changing phone number on my GBP
Hello Team, I have a question regarding my Google Business Profile and would appreciate your guidance: Changing phone number: If I update the main phone number on my GBP, could this affect my account’s ranking, verification status, or visibility? I want to make sure I do it correctly.

If your Google Maps calls have dropped, or you feel invisible on Maps, you’re in the right place. This community is not about guessing, chasing tricks, or doing risky changes. It's about getting your Google Business Profile stable, trusted, and bringing in more calls. Do these 3 steps now (10 minutes total): Your 7-day win: you’ll know what’s blocking calls, what to fix first, and what to ignore. 1) Watch this quick intro video Click Here To Start the Intro video 2) Post your Google Business Profile link in the comments below. How to get your link: open your profile on Google → tap “Share” → copy link. If you don’t want to post it publicly, comment “Private” and PM me. 3) Tell me which one you’re dealing with right now: - My calls dropped / I’m not showing up - I’m worried about suspension or verification - I want a clear checklist to follow (I don’t know what matters anymore) Then I’ll reply with the first module to watch and the first fix to do this week.

So why are service businesses without a shopfront at risk?
So why are service businesses without a shopfront so much more at risk here? It usually starts with the most innocent reason in the world — you don't want strangers turning up at your front door. You're working from home, you're a mobile business, you don't have customers visiting you, so you think "I'll just toggle this off for privacy." Completely reasonable. Completely understandable. And that one decision can send your entire profile into freefall. Here's what actually happens. I had a client who'd registered their business as a shopfront years ago because everyone told them they'd rank better with a pin on the map. And for a while they were right — the profile was ranking nicely, calls were coming in. Then they were asked for additional proof and photos for the shopfront. This is when they decided to do the right thing and toggle over to a service area business. Google immediately triggered a manual review and demanded video proof of everything. The problem was they didn't have enough proof and Google wasn't convinced. They even looked into faking a shopfront image, but that just meant trading one problem for a worse one. There was no way out. The lesson here is to think long term. The moment you registered as a shopfront when you weren't one, you created a problem with Google — and the verification process is getting trickier to pass than ever.
