CQC COMPLIANCE UPDATE — APRIL 2026
Good morning, everyone! Here's your latest CQC update — lots happening right now, so let's keep you ahead of it. THE BIG ONE: The Single Assessment Framework is changing The CQC has confirmed 24 Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) — confirmed in March 2026 — which will replace the current Quality Statements as the basis for assessment. These are framed as structured questions describing what inspectors will actively look for, rather than what providers should be doing. The good news? The 5 Key Questions — Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led — are staying. They remain central to all assessments. 👉 What you need to do right now: If you're overdue for an inspection and it's likely in the next 6 months, ensure you're ready under the current Single Assessment Framework. Start familiarising yourself and your team with the 24 Key Lines of Enquiry now. As always, drop any questions below — let's navigate this together!
