Okay but real talkโ€ฆ๐Ÿ’ก
How many times have you tried to โ€œget your life togetherโ€ โ€ฆonly to realize the routine you picked was absolutely NOT built for your actual life? ๐Ÿ˜… Yeah. Same. Thatโ€™s exactly why Iโ€™ve been quietly working behind the scenes on something different. Something simpler. Something more honest. Something that actually accounts for real life energy. Dropping details soonโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ Tell me below: Are you someone who thrives more with ๐Ÿง  structure or ๐ŸŒŠ flexibility?

For me, I have to have a balance of both. Structure that keeps me on course but flexibility within the structure that allows for spontaneity and expansion.

@Lauren Lewis Yes there has to be both. Discipline and flexibility are key for me. Like... I know I need to exercise every day. But I have several different activities I can do and most days I do just a few minutes of several things. It makes it so much easier. And I count every little thing I do. I give credit for exercise even if all I did was walk back and forth to my car and I took the stairs instead of the elevator. It all adds up to movement!
If your habits donโ€™t stick, try this โฌ‡๏ธ
The Follow-Through Filter Before you commit to any routine, ask: 1๏ธโƒฃ Does this fit my real schedule? 2๏ธโƒฃ Can I do this on a low-energy day? 3๏ธโƒฃ Would I still do this if motivation disappeared? If the answer isnโ€™t yes to all threeโ€ฆ โ€ฆitโ€™s probably not sustainable. This is where most people unknowingly sabotage their consistency. They build routines for their ideal self instead of their real life. Inside Ground + Grow, we use simple structure to build habits that actually stick โ€” not just look good on paper. Tell me in the comments, what are you putting through this filter?? โœจ Save this for your next reset moment.

Yes these questions are very good for building new habits. Nice I like'm!!!

@Lauren Lewis No I've never used questions like this to help me build a habit. Or at least I didn't consciously ask myself questions. I know I had to figure out a plan though. I quess I've developed my habits by just telling myself, "You're gonna do it!" And then picking a time of day to do it. Like meditation has to be done first thing in the morning. So i just started getting up earlier to accommodate it. And a softer side of me says "You know that later you'll be so glad you did it." and "Just do it. For 5 minutes."
Relatable truth:
Most people donโ€™t quit because they donโ€™t careโ€ฆ They quit because theyโ€™re tired of starting over. That quiet moment when you think: โ€œI was doing so goodโ€ฆ what happened?โ€ Thatโ€™s the moment self-trust starts to crack. Not because you failed. Because you never had a simple structure that actually fit your life. Here, we donโ€™t chase perfect streaks. We build: โ€ข doable habits โ€ข flexible routines โ€ข consistency that survives real life Because the goal isnโ€™t perfection. Itโ€™s follow-through you can trust. If youโ€™ve ever had to start over (again ๐Ÿ˜…)โ€ฆ youโ€™re in the right place. Drop a ๐Ÿ’ฌ if you feel this.

I have started sooo many things over and over again. Like playing my instruments. In the past I would be on a roll and playing them consistently and see improvement in my playing and then just stop and not pick them up for months. And then when I finally pick them back up again, I would be so mad at myself because I had regressed and it took time to get back to where I was before. Similarly, I just started knitting again and I could kick myself because I have a half-finished scarf that I could not just pick up and finish because I couldn't remember how to do the pattern. Now... I'm not a seasoned knitter. I just learned to knit a few years ago, so it wasn't like my instruments that I've been playing since childhood. I can pick those up and get back to where I was just be sticking with it for a few weeks. But the knitting thing was something I had to ask for help with. From different POV. I have been going to a free knitting group at the library and it's been delightful and I think that I am meant to be there and I wouldn't be there if it weren't for my half-finished scarf. I think when you're seeking healing or improve your life and to become better there is a timing and readiness sort of like a wave of expansion that your psyche is designed to follow and if you're not able to stick to something maybe you weren't meant to at that particular time. Or maybe you're ready to have more discipline is some other area of your life and you can't stick to something because the other area needs you to focus there.

You donโ€™t have a motivation problem. You have a pattern mismatch. Most people arenโ€™t inconsistent because theyโ€™re lazy. Theyโ€™re inconsistent because: ๐Ÿ‘‰ their routines donโ€™t fit real life ๐Ÿ‘‰ their systems require perfect energy ๐Ÿ‘‰ their plan only works on their best days So they keep starting overโ€ฆ thinking the problem is them. But itโ€™s not. If your routine only works when life is calm, rested, and perfectly scheduledโ€ฆ โ€ฆitโ€™s not a real-life system. Inside Grounded + Grow, we rebuild habits that work on: โœ” busy days โœ” low-energy days โœ” messy real-life days Because consistency isnโ€™t built in perfect conditions. Itโ€™s built in the real ones. โœจ If this hit, drop a ๐Ÿ” in the comments.

I get what youโ€™re saying. But if what you want IS something different which meansโ€ฆchange. You have to change. Thatโ€™s the problem. Our culture has said hey you donโ€™t have to change. Take a drug take a pill make it work make it fit into your current way of living Nobody truly wants to take full responsibility for getting themselves healthy. Sorry I donโ€™t mean to be confrontational. But change requires change. I guess starting small by fitting something new into your old patterns until it becomes a habit. And then after that becomes a habit and itโ€™s part of your routine then you add another new aspect. So gradually slowly, but surely you ultimately change.Yes thatโ€™s the best way. Thanks for letting me rant a little bit.
It's all about me.....
It's not selfish to think about myself, It's not selfish to choose myself every time, It's not selfish to say no.... Self care is all about thinking about me!! The only person I need to believe in me, is me! The only person I need to see my self worth, is me! The only person I need to help me walk my own path, is me! Life can be hard, but these are the times we learn, we grown, we move forward. Let these times stay where they are, a caption in time that will pass, leave them there in the past! Our past does not define us, our future does not define us, it's good to have goals, but what matters most is your right now. See the positives in your lives, see the amazing things you have achieved, the impact you just being you has made on others. I am not perfect and I have nothing to prove to anyone, so I choose myself every time. I choose to love myself, I choose to be proud of the journey I am on, I am proud of me, I love me ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ Today....let's all be kind to ourselves, remember how beautiful we are both inside and out, and love ourselves a little more ๐Ÿค— Have a great day today ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿค
