✨ Holiday Gratitude Check-In ✨
Before we rush into the next goal, the next upload, the next milestone—let’s pause for a moment. Gratitude for how far you’ve already come. Gratitude for every viewer and subscriber who chose to spend their time with you. Gratitude for YouTube being a free platform where we get to share our thoughts, skills, experiences, and stories—without permission, gatekeepers, or limits. It’s easy to normalize this. But zoom out for a second. We’re living in a time where we can connect with brilliant minds all over the world instantly. Learn from each other. Teach. Build. Create impact from our living rooms. That’s not small. That’s extraordinary. Today, just take a breath and acknowledge it.You’re not behind. You’re participating in something incredibly rare—and powerful. Grateful for this space. Grateful for this community. Grateful for you all and wishing you a happy holiday season.🤍

@Michael Maier two years in and monitised x
Is it just me or.. ?
I've noticed over the last view videos my views have dropped hugely! Has anyone else noticed something similar? Honestly don't know why this is happening. I've learned thumbnails, titles, hooks .. trying to keep engagement, I have a new phone, better sound etc, following ideas that are of high interest to viewers .. but significantly dropped views.. gone from around getting up to 1k views over a few days, down to less than 100 .. .. whats going on?
Mindset is the key!
Imagination—our unleashed creative power and the strength of our inner images—determines whether someone takes something personally or not. For a long time an Angel makes a post. Hard work?! Train your brain, Angel! Your brain is always right. If you say something is hard work, then it truly becomes hard work. If you say you can’t do something, you won’t be able to. If you say, “Today is a great day,” most of the time it will be a great day. When you tell yourself that making a video is hard work, it becomes hard work. But when I tell myself, “This is hardly any work at all,” the task gets done quickly and easily. When your imagination and your willpower move in opposite directions, your imagination always wins. These are from the laws of Émile Coué. He is my hero. I’ve studied him more than any other teacher in my life. Now, it's a hard work or hardly a work?

Goodness me I've heard this so many times. I'm an NLP coach and live by these rules ... but we should all remember that all our feelings are valid and we should be allowed to just vent and share in a safe space like this community. I'd agree that mindset is incredibly important and beliefs are paramount to us being able to change our reality. But for some .. working a full time job, then recording on substandard equipment, having to record things several times because things don't look or sound right, then having to edit with tools that are less advanced than we would like can become tiresome and challenging.. and thats nothing to do with mindset.

@Rudi Strahl Mindset is key yes. But I don't agree that "Imagination—our unleashed creative power and the strength of our inner images—determines whether someone takes something personally or not." If someone takes something personally its a very unique reason to that person. Our experiences throughout life shape us into what we are and where we are today, and "taking something personally" is often as a result of those experiences. Taking something personally can also be as a result of those "somethings" being directed specifically at a person.
Hard work?!
Who thinks YouTube is hard work? I do! I'm doing it on top of a full time job and creating the right video, with the right title and thumbnail, and getting a hook right , getting sound and lighting right is soooo much work!!

@Alex Bell thank you
Hooks that work!
So after watching Alexa's video "Hook viewers in 5 seconds" .. this happened! My next video had more views, more watch time and the retention graph was way better than previous videos .. it hasn't gone "viral" but its a good foundation. Thank you Alexa 🙂
