Giving out hourly rate?
All you freelancers out there... do you find it odd for an agency client to bill by hourly rate with you? CONTEXT: I'm a copywriter and an agency who's looking for a contractor to off load their client work asked for my base hourly rate -- and involved multiple things like email, work flows, landing pages, etc. I was hesitant to give it, but I did anyway (the range I internally use in my head to come up with pricing). They ended up declining because they couldn't' afford that rate. I find that odd unless I'm missing something. How I see it is my "$200 an hour" might be more efficient & labor saving than someone else's "$50 an hour".

Every agency I’ve worked with bills by hourly, and when I was in the agency I wanted to know the hourly for freelancers too. I also worked out an approximate hourly rate for my team. Everything was based on time spent to determine profitability of a client. Time tracking and utilisation for everything. It wasn’t the best way in my opinion but it’s definitely the most common way. With that in mind, I usually charge a lower “wholesale” agency hourly rate because I’m not responsible for the relationship, not required to be on any client calls, not responsible for bringing in the business or doing any of the strategy etc. I’m just straight copywriting. I make it extremely clear that’s what the wholesale rate gets them too and if they fuck up the brief and need a rewrite, well that’s charged too. Hope that helps give you some perspective. I don’t really do this sorta work anymore cos it was kinda why I left agency in the first place lol a bit soul sucking… but it did help me with cashflow as I was starting out.

I should add they will usually quote you how many hours you’re “allowed” to spend on a particular task too. If you’re gonna hit over that range you have to let them know so they can reallocate budget and decide if it’s worth it etc
Are you planning to publish a book in the next 3 months?
I just restarted work on a book I want to write... and eventually even finish and publish. My goal is to be done with it in the next 3 months. I also know that some House members, like @Steve Raju and @Tom Grundy are in the midst of publishing their own books. What about you? Do you have plans to write and publish a book, and soon?

I wanted to have my first manuscript finished by June this year but I think I put too much on my plate lol so I've reset to end of the year for now lol. It's definitely a goal of mine though!
Opt-In Critique
Am I writing too much for my opt-in? I've seen the other opt-in pages here and it's a lot simplistic, brief and to the point. I'm just a content creator who happened to stumble into the world of daily emailing, so any advice is appreciated :)

[Critique Request] Newsletter Hitlists Sales Page
So, I've built a new tool that helps you find relevant newsletters in your niche to run ads or do JVs with. I wrote a draft sales page today and I'd love some feedback on it. It's a hefty page so obviously you dont have to read it all if you don't want to. Reading just the lead is perfectly fine. 7-day email-writing challenge to 3x-4x your sales
I'll be doing this myself, starting next Monday and ending next Sunday. I wonder if you'd like to join me. The details: - 7 days - 7 emails - The goal is to make your list perform like it it is 3x-4x bigger than it actually is ... meaning, you get 3x-4x the usual sales, leads, replies, calls booked, or whatever it is that you're normally after. How? Well, that I'll share with you if you join me for the challenge. Suffice to say that: 1. There is no list growth involved 2. This is not about "send more emails" 2. It's entirely based on the email copy you send out in your 7 daily emails Are you interested? Let me know below:
