Day 11...Just Breathe!
Day 11- Today let's take a deep breath. Or 2 or 3 😁. I've been there where someone said just take a deep breath & just breathe and I honestly wanted to throat punch them. In reality we don't want to be told what to do. But in that moment of stress & distress I needed to be held and told to breathe. πŸ’’Have you been there? Can you relate to that? I'm telling you to breathe. You can do it. I'm linking another breathwork technique here. Definitely start with the beginner equal breathwork technique & as you incorporate it and get better at it, then grow and challenge yourself with other techniques. You'll find what your body & mind likes and will gravitate to one in times of stress & distress. πŸ’’Recently my body just started doing a technique subconsciously and I didn't even have to tell myself to "just breathe" and a person beside me said "Misty, you're going to have to trust me. Just keep doing your breathing technique and close your eyes if you need to, but trust me." Little did I know that person recognized I was doing my techniques to get through the situation in that moment and they know nothing about breathwork but knew that I practice it. It was automatic. And I was like in this moment I will "JUST BREATHE" & PRAY because that is all that I can control right now. πŸ’’Now the "trust me" part is an entirely different post and subject matter, because I do have trust issues. Breathing helps me calm down when I remember to do so. I think I’ve been taught to be fast and efficient so it’s hard for me to slow down.
Day 10! WOWZERS!!
Day 10! Can you believe it? As you navigate healthy habits and being consistent, challenges can present themselves. πŸ’’Getting vulnerable here as this is a safe place for me to share and hopefully it helps someone. πŸ’’One that resonates with me is making the decision to separate & go through a divorce in the middle of me in Respiratory School, working, being a mom, working through grief, perimenopause, starting progesterone, working through anger, hurt and grieving what I thought the rest of my life & family dynamics would look like. πŸ’’And honestly the only things I could control were continuing to show up for my kids, pushing through school & work, and my health. If it weren't for the gym being my outlet and the way I could honor my body that God gave me and doing my best to fuel properly. At times the appetite wasn't there as my mind was so busy and time would pass. But I figured it out Just like you all are doing. πŸ’’It doesn't have to be perfect. Even tonight my workout is in my garage before work. I picked up 11p-7a tonight and we shall see how it goes! I watched my carb intake today, not much movement but it’s a process, I have aerial Saturday. Low on energy after working this week. Pretty sure my cycle is going to start. On top of being baseline anemic. It’s all mental for me and always has been. Trying to work on thought process, some days I’m exhausted but it eventually adjusts and works.

I did 15 minute stretch when I woke up this afternoon with my mirror. I increase fluids when I work, I have a salad packed and drank a protein shake today. Breathing went with the stretches. I showed up because my body and mind need change. I want to feel good about myself and I really need my strength to be able to excel in aerial, with 2 c sections I can barely feel my abs so it’s harder to engage core muscles and that is important in aerial.
