I was an exhausted working mom-part 1...
I was an exhausted working mom. Hormones were a mess. Nothing was working. So I built the system I wish I had. I shed the weight. Built the muscle. Healed some things. Got my energy back. Now it's yours. We've been given this one body. My journey started in October of 2011. I knew I wasn't the best version of myself for my kids and those around me that I loved. Determined to work on myself...mentally, physically, emotionally....I had a 2 year old & a 9 year old. I couldn't exactly leave them to workout at a gym. So I started with bodyweight exercises & wogging in my neighborhood. Their dad's schedule and my schedule didn't always align, but we figured it out. I had to figure parts of this journey out on my own. Used many trackers and navigated my fuel, had some help along the way and leaned on a few friends. My hormones have changed along the way & a few times got off track. But knew that I loved taking care of the one body that I've been blessed with. Fast forward to covid, college, perimenopause (got on progesterone), went through emotionally draining separation and divorce. Graduated as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, single mom of 17 year old & an adult daughter & son in law who have my 2 grandsons. And healed on so many levels yet still healing, growing & learning. Cortisol in check. Breathwork and nervous system regulation advocate. To say I have been on quite a journey is an understatement...I have been inspired to keep going for various reasons...just to name a few: -The way I felt & what I saw in the mirror πŸͺž. My confidence definitely increased regarding the physical but the mental & emotional improvement...off the charts. -My kids seeing their mom take care of herself and take that time... teaches them that it's important and they are important. -Knowing I want to be around for a long time for my kids & grandkids & also my parents. -Others being inspired to take care of themselves -Seeing patients that aren't as blessed as me. -The list goes on...
